I'm trying here since I did not hear back when contacting the webmaster on sc4devotion.com. I registered to SC4 Devotion on 8/4 but never received any activation email. Since then, I have requested countless times for the email to be resent to my email address but to no avail. I also created an account on 8/10 for the Lot Exchange but did not receive the activation email for that either. Please activate my account for me please when you get the chance. My account info is the same as it is on here.

Hi,

the first time I've played the simulation has been on a Commodore C64 (in the 80's).

Bought SC4 in 2003 and played it from time to time.

Since I've seen all these awsome new buildings, maps etc I'm eager to build a City like Chicago.

Downloaded a lot on this page, but I have a big problem and I hope someone can help me.

I need some mods etc. from SC4devotion (dependencies) and I tried to register on the SC4devotion page (forum and download area).

Unfortunately I don't receive an email to confirm my email adress (tried the "sent another email" option several times and wrote an email to the webmaster last week).

Maybe someone on this page has an account on SC4devotion and can tell the admin about my problem.

My user name is Uhus.

Hope my English isn't as worse as I believe.

(My parents have been living in Chicago, but here in Germany I don't talk or write in English very often).

@Uhus, sorry to hear of your difficulties and wait.  I've gone ahead and manually activated your accounts on both the LEX and the forums, so you should be able to get in now.  The "email the webmaster" option has never been very reliable, and I'm looking to replace it.  I'm a little surprised the forums goofed up on activation--usually, they're pretty reliable, and it's the LEX that almost universally seems to fail in activation/password reset emails.

If you still encounter issues, let me know, and I'll wrangle the member databases a little more for you.

For me the main site and the LEX load fine, so perhaps like with ST it was just a temporary server hiccup and is back online now?

aaaanyway. i just wanted to say that SC4D LEX  is a beautiful site. it's like coming to my university library and using the file register there. all is logically sorted, it's interlinked, dependency trackers(!) ..it's just...ugh..it pleases my german need for tidiness. 

also the site looks really good. love the smooth animations and the overall color scheme.

whoever maintains that site..you're doing a good job!

I am trying to set up an account on the SC4 lot exchange only to realize that my email address already registered with it. I thought I could log in to my old account that I might have registered with a long time ago, so I attempted to reset my password. After hitting the password reset button, I have not received an email for password reset. It has been about a month, and I am not sure what the problem is. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Hi @Insane Buizel--SC4D Webmaster here.  Just checked our account database on the LEX, and was not able to find your account based off that information--only an account for the forums.  I can look up accounts via the email address used to register them, so if you can send me that via private message, I can do another search and manually reset the password for you.  The password reset on the LEX is notoriously finicky, and it seems to be especially so for those who haven't logged onto the site in awhile.

For future reference for everyone, contacting us here, or via the SC4D forums, or in the SC4D Discord are generally the best ways to get in touch with the staff about issues with LEX password resets and account activations.  The "contact the webmaster" email link off the LEX is, for all intents and purposes, completely non-functional, and is the absolute worst way to attempt to get assistance.  Those other three aforementioned methods, on the other hand, will usually get a pretty quick response/resolution.

@yzbk1, if your account on the LEX is just plain YZBK, I've just activated it already, and you should already be good to go.  And if so, thank you so much for registering under the same/similar username you have at another SC4 site!  It makes the process of handling common support issues like missed activation or password reset emails super, super easy.

That's really strange, because there is very clearly a YZBK account (all capital letters, without the "1" at the end) in the database, which is activated.  Try giving it another go.  If it's still not working, what I can do is blank out the email address on it, which would allow you to reuse it for another account.
