About This File

SC4 System Integration Module (SIM) is the main dependency of CAM. This File is suitable for both players using CAM and both SPAM and Pure Vanilla players. This package consists mainly of code and support files for UI, LText, and Exemplar. However, it does make many alterations to various Maxis default buildings that are designed for use with CAM, and also modifies Lua files affecting the Advisor system and other functionality of the game.

The mod was developed by the various members of the CAM Team who over time have brought modifications to improve this mod

Please note that this pack may receive updates in the near future. Do not redistribute without asking first, mostly as doing so would complicate efforts to properly maintain, update, and provide technical support for the pack.

Extra feature, if you hover over the folders in the installer, you will get some extra information about each contents.

WARNING: From version 2.5 onward Colossus Addon Mod works only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsfot Windows and Linux only). If you run CAM 2.5 or later on systems other than those listed, the mod may malfunction and no support is provided.

Installation

This package is a simple .zip file. Just extract the a_CAM folder to your My DocumentsSimCity 4Plugins directory (or equivalent, if you have a custom Plugins folder location).

It is highly recommended to install this mod through SC4Pac. Manual download is not recommended for less experienced users.

Does the Real Upgradeable City Halls dependency need to be the one linked to specifically or does it work with the ModPacc Zero version as well?

Real Upgradeable City Halls has been downgraded to an optional mod, especially now that we have discovered that it has incompatibilities with the MZ version, which have been resolved.

Yeah, they actually updated the very next morning after I'd posted my question with a changelog note stating exactly that, lol.

Talk about a funny coincidence, right?.

But yeah, thanks a bunch regardless.

I don't know if it's a big deal, but SC4DBPFLoading.dll doesn't like CAM_Advanced_Water_Allert_Old.dat.

SC4DBPFLoading v2.1.0
Disabled the built-in DBPF loading debug code.
Patched the DBPF Open header check.
Changed the missing plugin error message to use hexadecimal.
Installed the cRZFile hooks.
Installed the .SC4* plugin scan patch.
Failed to load: C:\Users\[redacted]\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\050-load-first\a_CAM\1 CAM Core\CAM_Advanced_Water_Allert_Old.dat

That file is obsolete, so it will be completely removed in a few updated versions. Therefore, you can ignore the problem.

How can I fix the transparency issue under the windmill and water pumping station caused by your mod? The game is from GOG. Transparent Texture (Water Bug) Fix DLL doesn't help.

It was not possible to upload a screenshot to the post.

Be sure to install this package before installing the Mod DLLs. I tested it in an environment with only the Mod DLLs and CAM core, and everything works.

I have it

Ensure that you install the Mod DLLs correctly.

Make sure you install the mod DLLs correctly. Mod DLLs must be installed in this folder:

Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins

and the files must not be placed in other folders. If you don't know how to install mods manually, use SC4Pac.
