Short description:
A while ago, a collection of Italian-style lots – the so-called Italian Collection, by simcity4ever88 – has been restored by the moderators of Simtropolis Exchange because the files had been stored on an off-site host which is not available anymore. After downloading this collection, I realized that it contains a huge collection (more than 1,000 lots!) of partially really beautiful buildings. Unfortunately, however, some of them are really poorly modded, up to the point that they may freeze SimCity 4 upon scrolling over them in the in-game menu, and, occasionally, the lotting isn’t much better. Therefore, I’ve improved both lotting and modding of some of these buildings. Real life doesn’t allow me to do this on a regular pace, but I’ve had a little time to work on some of the lots.
This is a small collection of small villas for rich residential areas in your cities that I’ve found in the Italian Collection. I took the liberty of re-designing the lotting and improving the modding. These villas grow on residential zones of low density with the sizes 2x2 or 3x3.

How to properly install the Italian Collection:
Make sure to think twice before just tossing all files coming with the Italian Collection into your Plugins folder. You may obtain hundreds of lots in your game menu that you cannot (or don’t want to) make use of them; and some of them are growables that you can’t control. Please take yourself time to read these instructions.
Step 1: Download the Italian Collection and unpack all files.
Step 2: Look into all subfolders of the Italian Collection and decide for yourself if you want to keep the buildings/lots you are getting – I’m literally talking about more than 1,000 lots! If not, just remove the corresponding files with the file extension .SC4Lot. You can remove or keep all of these files as it fits you best, this won’t affect the functionality of my plugin. You only need to keep all files with the file extension .dat, .SC4Model, and .SC4Desc.

Various prop/texture packages: These just contain props, retaining walls, or textures and no lots. Unfortunately, they are quite a bunch, but there’s a high chance that you may have them already.

Installation:
Please move or copy all existing files (except the Readme files) into the Plugins folder of your edition of SimCity 4. To uninstall this plugin, please bulldoze all instances of these villa lots in your cities and then remove all lot files coming with this plugin from your Plugins folder.
How to properly use the blockers:
The file zIC_Villa Elegante Blockers.dat will (as long as it loads last) override the content in the file IC_Villa Elegante Lots.dat, thereby making the growth of these villas impossible. As already mentioned, the purpose of these files is to give you more control over letting them grow or not.
To make sure that these buildings grow, just remove the file zIC_Villa Elegante Blockers.dat from your Plugins folder. To block these buildings, just put it back into a place where you can make sure that they load last (ideally in the folder with the lot file; you may want to keep the file names like this to make sure the blocker file loads last).
