As Jolteon said, the BAT is way overscaled and the lot could definitely use some props. Adding to that, the textures look very bland. Some more grit would probably help in that department. :)

The lot is too big and empty. Let me be the first to suggest you start a BAT thread.

The Reason Why the lot is too big is because when i went to choose a smaller lot, my model wasnt there in the lot editor list but when i choosed this lot my model was there in this list, so i had to choose this one. Sorry if its not good :(

i had started one thread actually, please see it and reply.

Can u help with the textures so that i can release v2.0 :) And BTW what do u mean by grit???

Sim City 4 Builder I think he means weathering or more of a used look for your textures.

Before this upload gets really torn apart by some nasty reviews, may I offer some tips as well as some advice?

So far, I can see this lot needs some work. And as others have said before, the scale needs to be re-addressed. The BAT has an indicator in the lower right part of the toolbar. The grids in the BAT's model space indicate how big an item should be. This tutorial in the Omnibus elaborates how the scale behaves. The explanation should be toward the bottom of the page. One aspect to remember about the BAT is it is scaled in meters, with each city tile being 16 square meters. It looks to me like you scaled the model so large, the lot editor has to make sure every item fits in the lot's given dimensions. If you had scaled the model smaller, then you would be able to utilize a smaller lot, and have more room to add other items (which is the next point I will be getting into). And as for the textures, there are plenty of sources for textures. A Google search would be an easy way to get textures, if there are roof textures you're looking for, you could even search Google Maps and other sites that show satellite images.

The next item to address is the lot itself. Aside from the pump nozzle being too high to reach, there is so much space, it looks like the lot can be used to serve as a football field. Consider this; you're driving your car down the road and you need to stop for gas. You look for a gas station and you decide you need to buy a snack since you are getting hungry. Normally at a gas station there would be a small shop which sells snacks an other items, and therefore that would be another item to add on the lot. And back to you pulling up at the gas station, you might want a place to park your vehicle so that would allow another person to stop at the pump and fill their tank. Using overlay textures, you can look for a parking lot to put over the base textures (which are the necessary textures for the lot) and then you could go into your props and maybe put a row of parked cars over the new parking lot. These are more items to add and make your lot more unique. There is more information on how to make a lot here.

The forums are open to anyone and they are the prefect place to ask questions. Don't be afraid of criticism in your project thread, just take other's advice and use them to make your items better. We are not here to put you down, and anyone who does so will be dealt with accordingly. Don't try to take on large projects just yet, I would recommend practicing with very simple single models first. Just keep practicing and keep experimenting and eventually you will get good enough to take requests from others some day.

Thanks for posting the building.  I am always glad to see new people contributing.  You show promise and I know with practice and listening to the posted advice, your skills will improve. Keep at it, and keep posting.  :-)

I think the lot size should be 1x1 or max 2x2.

Add some textures.

Add some jobs. Flammability may be a bit high.

May be put some cars on the lot for fancy.

Will work as a little C-bldg in R-zones.

Is not bad, but needs a few finishing touches. Listen to the tips you've been given, I will see your thread. As said, cars, people, improve the texture will help the BAT. You have potential, only practice you will go far!

Speaking from experience, and yes I'm expected negative comments in return. But the real life size of Indian Oil lots are normally around this size. That's right there is a large amount of unused space, but it could use minor details on around the perimeter based on the real life examples I have seen.

I cannot open your file. When I download and open the Zipped File, it says that it is corrupted and unable to be opened. It also says that your Zipped File is empty.
