About This File
Low Wealth Small Shops
This is a set of four 1x2 Cs$ lots that represent typical stores one may find in a lower wealth or working class neighborhood. These four lots have the same architectural theme, but are slightly different. They are a representation of the pre-World War II architectural style that was popular in the area around New York City for these types of buildings and the way they appear now (ex- aging, various alterations, etc). Two of the lots are intended to grow on corners and two of the lots go in between to fill up one city block as shown in the pictures. The following is a description of each lot (from the left corner to the right). All stores and names are fictional, but are based on real places. Each lot is arranged in its own folder so you can keep the ones you want and delete the ones you don’t want.
- Pete’s Corner Produce – Consists of a fresh produce store (“Pete’s Corner Produce”) and a 99 cent store (“99₵ Discount Store”).
- Mi Pueblo Deli and Grocery – Consists of a nail salon (“Cindy’s Nail Salon”) and a Mexican deli (“Mi Pueblo Deli and Grocery”).
- Soapy Suds Laundromat – Consists of a laundromat with a kiddie ride out front (“Soapy Suds Laundromat”) and a bar, possibly a 2 dollar dance or bailarina bar (“La Estrella Bar”).
