About This File

Project Shinjidai (New Era) Japanese Cultural Landmarks and Buildings

Ever since Yuttho Started Building Tokyo 1.0 and 2.0 the request and his request for more traditional and specific content for Japan and by many users has been something high on my list of things to publish to the public.

I hope this will inspire many new cities and designs as well as other mods that will use Cultural Inspiration as a methodology to give us greater control over our communities and create Neighbor Hoods that will give greater diversity in our cities.

2 New Landmarks

   - Himeji Castle (Japanese Castle)

   - Todai-ji (Sumo / Martial Arts Monastery for Cultural Learning)

3 $$ Residential

3 $$$ Residential

4 $$ Commercial

4 $$$ Commercial

NOTE: THIS MOD REQUIRES OFFLINE AND AKAR FOR MENU STRUCTURES

Icons and Descriptions by Yayie (Thanks for doing the artwork and Menu Positioning for me within Akar) (Thanks to the SUGC Team Members for testing and debugging the mod for me).

Special thanks to Oppie for the SCP for which no mod would ever be possible and the Developers for always being around to answer questions when we all need questions answered on quirky things we do not understand completely yet as we learn.

MOST OF ALL THANK ALL OF THE USERS FOR WHOM WE CONTINUE TO MAKE THESE MODS FOR TO ENJOY.

Without the community and their continued desire for mods I myself and other would not be working so hard to deploy So many of these new ideas buildings and Blue Prints that will further the modding efforts globally.

Place the mod in your \simcitydata folder

ENJOY

Jeff

Your welcome.. Hope everyone enjoys this .. Thank you everyone for testing it this week and getting the kinks out... I'm hoping Tobse and others like Parker will now make more unique assets for decorations using the others as blueprints.

Yayie and Danny i'm sure will help them do so.

New Skins for Vehicles etc... I'm kind of excited to see how this works out in general and how people tonight on Dizzy's channel will receive the new mod.

its already in the Dizzy Pak and I know we are going to put it in the new Skypak and the 5.0 SUGC Pak.

Thanks again everyone.

Amazing job, Jeff ;) Each building is designed to trifles. A very good idea and implementation. 5/5

Yes... YES.

This is amazing... Now you're really making me push myself to get my own buildings off the press, as well as the road textures fixed...

@blackdragon very kewl.. trying to encourage others to mod and put new buildings in the game is something I have been trying to do its just hard to get done in general.  there is no simple pipeline yet but there are directions.  neither are completely easy.  The teams can help though for most peoples efforts on idea and original to product.

@maxvSk thank you kind of wish there was more variety .. all in time.

@nikola thanks but your the one that puts out 20 mods a month .. I only put out one every once in a while now :) your the one on fire ;)

Very nice buildings. Thank you for this.

Are there any plans to make some cherry blossom trees? How difficult would it be to take the existing trees and recolour them to make some pink, white, or red trees? They would certainly look good next to these new buildings.

This is a great work and step!
Unfortunately I do not have words to convey this impression exactly.

This MOD makes it possible for cityscape to localized for Japanese style.
The scene that traditional building and lofty skyscrapers fused is definitely a modern Japanese style.

It is at all a pleasure at present and will be impatient for what kind of landmark sets of the world are released in future.
I wish you the best of luck with everything.
