About This File

St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne is the cathedral church of the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne, Victoria in Australia. The cathedral is a major Melbourne landmark.

The cathedral commands the southern approaches to the city, the site marks the location of the first Christian service held in Melbourne in 1835.

English architect William Butterfield designed the cathedral in the architectural style of Gothic transitional. On 22 January 1891, the cathedral was consecrated.

The erection of the spires began in 1926, to the design of John Barr of Sydney instead of Butterfield's original design. At the time of its construction St Paul's was the tallest building in central Melbourne and dominated the city's skyline.

St Paul's Moorhouse Tower is the second highest Anglican spire in the world, the tallest being that of Salisbury Cathedral.

This is Part 2 of my 12th BAT.

St Pauls Cathedral is a ploppable House of Worship. Lot size 6x6, zero costs, but with mayor rating effect magnitude 4, radius 110. It is located in the Landmarks menu.

It is available in both Darknite and Maxis night versions. (xx_DN and xx_MN respectively).

**There are two Lot variations, Version 1 with cars, Version 2 without cars. Please only install one version at a time**

There are no Prop dependencies, although the Dark Nite version requires SimFox_Day_n_Nite_Modd.

Please visit my Melbourne BAT thread to see my upcoming projects.

Your buildings always seem to have the most amazing, photo-realistic night-lighting and this is no exception.

Alright, so the building is amazing... really good! now the parking lots.. uff you killed me there buddy.. I think another parking textures should be used.. but overall a 4.9/5... that 0.1 less is because of the parking lots...

Outrageously beautiful BAT.  The speed, detail, and quality with which you churn these out is unreal.  My city will end up looking like Melbourne 2.0 went you are finished...

I have to agree with cmdp123789; the parking texture glitch really kills it. Perhaps you could have someone like T-Wrecks lot it for you. I'm personally no good at any of the SC4 modding (yet), so I  doubt I could do much better; However, while we (I?) could have forgiven the use of default MAXIS parking lot textures (which IMHO are pretty awful by comparison), the detail that kills me is the misalignment b/w the driveway and the rest of the lot. It's the fly in the ointment, and it smells really bad.

But enough criticism. The BAT part of the upload looks, well... like you took an aerial photo and posted that here instead. So very well done. 5/5 despite the parking lot (which I hope you get around to fixing later sometime).

Sold!.. I will fix it and upload a better version... seems pointless to put this work into the model then let it down with the lot. Expect it sometime later today (Melbourne time :P) Oh...  unless I really, really suck at it, then I will scout around for help ;)
