About This File

Sometimes we would like to have a sizable area that is not criss-crossed by uniform streets and roads... but we can't because in most cases we then lack road-access for the lots. This set offers a bag-of-tricks to get around that, so you can make apparently un-connected open spaces - useful for industrial compounds, warehouse districts, waterfronts, large parking areas and more.

LIST OF ITEMS

* 3 transit-enabled Extenders (straight, cross, Tee)
* 2 transit-enabled gates

* 3 perimeter fence sections (1x, 3x, curve)
* 2 under-bridge extenders (left, right)

DEPENDENCIES

* Murimk Prop Pack Vol03 - Industrials

* Grunge Concrete Set

* PEG Security Fencing Kit

* SHK Parking Pack

* SPOT (Orientation Helpers, optional)

DEVELOPER NOTES

See a demo on how to use the TE extenders here!

The lots are mostly neutral and cheap to plop. The apparent lack of props and lotted items is on purpose - players are supposed to have most possible freedom in designing their own scenes using IND lots, fillers and MMPs (i.e. Murimk Prop Pack Vol03, GridBusters and similar items). That should help building dedicated IND areas... Be creative ;-)

You can get additional visual interest by using different streetside mods and SAM streets (the core set also works as an effective 'SAM Stopper')... A bit challenging at times, but well worth the effort.

You find all items at or near the end of the 'Transit | Misc' menu with custom icons.

INSTALLATION

Unzip the whole bundle into "(My )Documents/Plugins".
To uninstall, bulldoze any instance of this lot in your city, then remove the file(s) from your Plugins.

This looks great, the edges give that authentic concrete section look which is far more realistic than it being seamless. Reminds me of an old WW2 aerodrome not too far away from where I live.

Paeng, you don't make mods, you make revolutions!

Thank you

Sir, I like the way you think.

You can never have enough fillers and your content just keeps making it easier to replicate RL infrastructures.

Thank you for all the wonderful stuffs..

EDIT: Kind of surprised you didn't use the tiles with tire tread marks to imitate the wear from driving over the concrete. Either way it's still awesome!

I would think so, these items work mostly with overhanging props... I'd say you don't need to uninstall that NAM thing you mentioned.

Paeng, your creations are in a class of their own and make the game so much more interesting.  (Sorry for the lack of construtive criticism here.)

This is freaking fantastic, I just made a huge coal power plant just yesterday and I got streets going places streets should not go just to that I can a logical setup, this will improve this coal power plant complex by an infinite degree.  I had like three different ground textures, one for the fence that ran around the facility, one under the coal piles, and a different one to match the ground texture of the power plants and cooling towers, now, because of these I will have just ONE texture for the whole complex, this thing is huge by the way, one might even confuse it for a nuke plant.  I did some looking around online the other day and found that coal facilities do not look a whole lot different from, well, aside from the huge piles of coal.

This set is awesome, I will certainly find other uses for it, no doubt.  5/5 from me!

Great and useful! Will be good also as passing through the abandoned military airstrip (hmm in fact with some modifications can be also an abandoned old conrete motorway. :D ).

So this a nice road-addon-mod... Will it act like SAM, as if you connect a road to it and it will unwillingly take on the new 'skin'?

Well, depends :-)   For example - if you plop the Cross, Tee or Straight  and draw a road stub in each direction - you can then run up to 4 different SAM streets into that 'intersection' and they will keep their individual 'skin'... like a SAM Stopper.

On another note: There were questions about compatibility - this set is not a mod, just a bunch of lots with overhanging props. So it does not interfere with any game mechanics or IND mods you may have installed ;-)

@Motokloss: Yeah, you can really experiment with these... if you set the extenders back to back, you can even try and draw ave or highway through them... maybe with "unexpected" results LOL, but specially for 'broken' areas there might be interesting stuff... all a matter of experimenting ;-)
