About This File

G'Day Simtropians,

I thought I'd have a dick in the lot editor and made a small rural/farm generator. There are many areas in Australia where the householder provides their own power. I lived for several years in Broome and we we only had power at night when we cranked up the Lister in the shed.

It produces enough power for a small community and several farms.

Stats are:

Power- 40MW, should that be mega or milli.

Plop- 150S, sheds or genny's aren't free.

Maint- 25S, diesel's expensive.

A small amount of pollution.

There are no dependencies.

Drop the dat file in your Plugins directory and the shed is available from the power menu.

Cheers

Mega for sure mili would not be enough to light up a light bulb :) Good idea but I think it is a bit packed and having all the trees in rows makes a bit umn unrealistic.

Nice to see you giving a go to custom creations!

Thanks Harishna,

There isn't a lot of room on a 1x1 tile and people do like to grow things in rows ;<). Hmm unrealistic I think is squeezing a 40MW power station into a 15x15 garden shed ;<)))

Thanks and cheers

That's original, there are not so many power plant here... especially little ones like this. Always building wind power plants, that's not realistic. Well... about these trees... why not... anyway, thank you for sharing !

cool....nice idea.....the trees would look better if they were more staggered with perhaps some barrels, or small stuff like that instead of so many trees and bushes...i can tweak that for myself in lot editor...i've borrowed from the beaches to put burn barrels in the backyard of some of my lots....still..i like how this will blend in instead of stand out....5/5

this is great for Pedro Bay ,alaska also pedro bay occupies parts of 8 large city tiles of which 5 of these large city tiles are on the region map but these place only has 42 people living there in real life depite its large size. these drunk power sheduld be all entire large city tile needs. augistine island has soom trails for roads and no towns on the island. its called drunk power becasue the generators are litterally drinking your oil and gasoline or desil and givng you power.

Hey Drunkapple... what UI are you using in that screenshot?  I like it!  Me wants it!  lol...

Is it something you made for yourself or have you shared it anywhere?  I'm using a custom UI (Doc's Greyscale) and it's also nice, but the one you have shown here would really match the color-scheme, etc of my highly customized Win XP & Firefox UI's

Let me know... thanks!

BTW... you make by far some of the absolute best Region Maps I have seen on any of the Sim City Sites.  Just thought I'd throw that compliment out there ;)
