About This File

This is my first set of canals I have made that are inspired by European canals. In total there are 3 pieces

INSTALLATION:

This package is a simple .zip file. Just extract the jijdlswns folder to your My Documents/SimCity 4/Plugins directory (or equivalent, if you have a custom Plugins folder location).

It is highly recommended to run the cleanitol with the installer and remove any previous versions from your plugins.
Optionally in the ~Documents folder in the main ZIP you can find a collective/master and by using either the newer nos.17's SC4 Cleanitol or the older BSC Cleanitol tool you can search and remove old and outdated versions of these files.

DLL DEPENDENCIES:

In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install):

  • Submenus DLL - You need it to get the package submenu working.

Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only).

CREDITS:

The following members contributed models, textures, and modding support to this collection:

  • jijdlswns

This package has been made possible by the Project ZIP efforts of Tyberius06 and Ulisse Wolf.

I've seen alot of canal sets, but this is the first one i will download. Why ? because of its sweet simplicity. It's a lovely set of canal and my cities could use it. @the shirleys: if someone loads up a trainstation BAT would you say ' Dull has been done ' ? It's not different in my opinion.

It's nice to have different canals for different cities, so they all don't resemble each other.

Among the most basic and the most best made new canals ive ever seen, although it needs more puzzle pieces,it is still a nice set- 4.5/5 :)

Amazing how the simple ones can be one of the more liked ones, like other have said, the fact it's only 3 lots makes it such a refreshment from the massive list of puzzle pieces some canals have, and then of course all the dependencies that go with them too! It's nice to just have a simple canal going through a simple city - nothing special - and yet it'll make a great addition to my towns, really great job on it :)

Very nice work here. Saw your thread on another site with pictures and after testing it would be nice to see more work put in to better align the corner piece to the straight piece. But your into it now so a little more work would really put these on the top self. Thanks for sharing.

Very, very nice, perhaps the water hue should be a little darker (has anybody seen an urban canal with such clear water?) Also, a few more pieces would be nice. Very good work! Thanks!

I like how simple it is, but there should be a three and four way intersection piece.

I love the texture of water. This canal is very well done. Is it possible to have other pieces ? a curved one ?
