Ultimate, you were right. I let it boot up. Took about 10 minutes, but the city finally loaded. It works well. It takes awhile to shut down too. Anyway, thanks. And thanks to everyone for all their inciteful suggestions. I really appreciateted it!

Here's something odd, when I block all my mods from working, the game LOADS fine. So I decided to remove almost ALL the mods through Steam and now I get a black screen when I try to load a new city. And another strange thing. The file where the mods are is empty.

Hey thanks for the reply Mark, I had thought of that, so I did a fresh reintall of Windows 8.1 . When I installed the purchased version, thats where the issues with the game started. The laptop is vertually empty, cept for anti virus software. This seems to be a game issue?

Hello all, I just purchased this game, I've only managed to get into the game once. Every other time it just stops loading and freezes. Also the music is real choppy. I played a bootleg copy first and it was fine (107b) It was completly removed prior to the legit copy installation. Now I hace 107c, the real deal, and I get all this grief. All my drivers are up to date. I have Win 8.1, plenty of memory. Any ideas what may be going wrong?

None of the assets I clicked on steamshop show up in game, Nothing is being downloaded. Any ideas whats happening? Stuff from other sites do download. -
Thank you GeometryMath Algebra, that was the problem! I removed the mod but now I have brown boxes where the lamp posts were. I tried replopping the streets but the boxes reappear. If I reinstal the mod, the lamp posts comeback but the original glare problem returns. Anyone has any ideas how to solve this? My biggest issue is that my streets are so dark. Thanks again!

Hello all, Having an issue with the street lights being far too bright. Perhaps I have a conflict with a light mod? Also my traffic signals do not work at all. They do not change nor does traffic stop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

That was it, found the file is named JENXPROP_Concert.dat. No more music! Thank you all very much!

Hello all. I just reinstalled SC4 on my new laptop, ACER Aspire V3 771G-6851 with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M Graphics card. A few minutes into the game, "We Will Rock You" will start to play, then another song, then another. The music is clicked OFF, yet this continues to play. The only other program I downloaded was SimCity Launcher, which I uninstalled. I uninstaled the game as well, then reintalled it, but the music keeps coming back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I seem to remember, some years back, that that canal set was custom made by a batter for his own use and it was never released. It IS a stunning canal. I have a question regarding Light rail and elevated rail. Is there a way you can have one set running on your elevated metro lines and say, PCC's running on your street level light rail?
