Good Job!, but there is only one problem with the parking lots showing up in the game. I've downloaded two of the dependencies, but none seem to work. Any clue to what is wrong with the parking lots not showing up?

Fantastic! Keep them coming!!! I think there are only a handful of furniture stores on the STEX but the only true chain store a recall was a Lazy boy BAT & LOT. I hope you continue to choose some of the better known chain stores that have some how have been eluded.

Good job! We've needed an Ashley Furniture around here. But honestly, I don't think this is your absolute best work, still good job.

I love all of your work. You are one of my most favorite creators. I've downloaded almost everything you have created. However, I have given this 3 stars due to you not updating your dependency links. Please update your dependencies. Out of date info & links cause a great deal of unwarranted frustration.

"Your rating is grossly unfair.

The reason the dependency links do not work is because the site Simtropolis has undergone maintenance since this file was released almost 10 years ago and it is the site upgrades, not the file creator,  that have caused the links to become outdated. Heblem has absolutely no control whatsoever over what Simtropolis does in his absence, but low ratings continue to mean that creators will either loose interest in providing files or eschew uploading files altogether."

For the most part I do agree with that reasoning. That is why I was sure to give him a 5/5 on different upload. However, other creators are able to keep track of outdated links. Not to mention, in other files it was pointed out to him by other users that links to dependencies were out dated. This is the only time I have ever given a score that wasn't 5/5. Almost 1/2 of his files have outdated links. If links don't get updated, people will stop downloading their work. Thus the creator will loose interest that way. It's better for all involved to have updated info. He is a truly talented creator. Like I had said, he's became one of my favorites. I would hate to see him loose interest due to people not downloading because of something as simple as an old link. Surely this would be an easy fix.

@Tyberius06

Are the creators not personally responsible for all of the information they have listed on their own files? I'm not trying to be mean. I was sure to give him a 5/5 on a different file. However, this is something that needs to be fixed out of respect to his audience. I assure you, I am a huge fan of his. That's why I've spent the entire day doing nothing but downloading every creation he has made and finding good links for the required dependencies.

Thanks for the heads-up and the comments @Tyberius06 and @mattb325!! The links are already fixed, and effectively, it was an issue caused by the forum software changes.

In general terms you are right, but in this case, the problem wasn't caused by Heblem, but because of a posterior change on the forum software, while he was largely absent from the community (so he couldn't even note the problem). Sadly, there are many files whose links were spoilt by several changes on the forums, and the sheer volume and diversity of errors make an automated fix basically impossible. That's why we depend on reports to repair the formatting and links, or even to restore long-lost files.

Please, the next time you find a file with absent dependencies, bad formatting or non-functional links, simply assume that the problem is an issue of the forums and not a bad job by the creator: hit the 'report' button and make us know what to fix.

Now, as you know Heblem didn't do anything wrong, could you please re-evaluate your review and star rating once you test the file? You just need to edit the review!

The creators are not responsible for the site changing the links after they have uploaded their work. The site is responsible for the site changing its links: downrate the site if you feel so utterly aggrieved, but do not downrate the creator. They were accurate when he uploaded them. As for your assertion

your logic is completely and utterly askew. Unlike any audience I know, you did not pay heblem for his performance and he has worked on this and donated this entirely out of goodwill for the community and the game. He did this for nothing and naught but other people's enjoyment.

It will take just a few moments more to search for the up to date links (see for example:

....or to notify the staff of broken links or to PM the author or any other action apart from denigrating his work.

Your response, and any inconvenience (if any, which I doubt) is disproportionate to your rating.

I have changed it. I meant no harm and figured it would be an easy fix for all involved. TY for caring.

Look dude! I meant no harm. I create for a different game and as a creator I hold full responsibility for all information I provide. If I become inactive, it's my fault if things don't get updated. It's called personal responsibility. I don't get paid to do those creations. I do them because I enjoy it. I also consider my audience to be my clients. If I have an unhappy client I would like for them to let me know why. That's just good costumer service. I don't appreciate being jumped on for a review that's easily changed and has been. I also don't appreciate being called a liar pertaining to my inconvenience. It's a shame it took this much drama and a low review to get someone to fix a problem that was noted by other users in other files YEARS ago.

No one called you a liar. I can think of far more appropriate terms to describe your actions, and lying isn't amongst them.

If you think that it is acceptable to give someone who has given you enjoyment for free - ergo: you are not his customer and he is not required to provide good customer service - a poor rating, then I'm afraid your actions precisely did cause harm whether you meant it or not.

I've changed the rating to a 5/5 the moment it was fixed! See.. it was all an easy fix. Now build a bridge and get over it.

Please, I can see that you both have strong opinions about this issue, and lots of arguments to give on it, but I also think you would agree with me in the fact that the comment section of a file isn't the most adequate place to discuss this. Can you please move your otherwise interesting dialog to a forum thread? Thanks!
