SFBT Rural Power Supply  1.0

About This File

Are you tired of using the windmill for small properties in the middle of nowhere, where no powerlines are available? Then here's the solution: A small power generator, running on natural gas that is stored in an external tank. The power output is the same as the standard windmill, but it has a (very small) pollution impact.

If you don't even like placing a power generator out there, the SFBT Wonder Tree might be an alternative for you. It has the same stats as the generator lot, but looks much better. ;-) You may argue that a power producing tree is not realistic, but on the other hand, Maxis didn't include underground power lines in the game, so we have to trick the game to enhance the overall look of certain areas.

Note: I did not upload this as a competitor to mrbisonm's Nexis Village Battery; this package has been released on SimsZone.de a long time ago and was scheduled to be released as "SFBT Classic" on the STEX anyway. mrbisonm's release just reminded me to put it online as well. :-)

And so unofficially, I am the first commentor for this file. It's Fabulous!! It looks better than mrbisonm's lot! But then, there is a lot of difference between a BAT and a Lot! Kudos to you!! Thanks a lot!

Like Darmok said, it is giving us more choice of these little useful lots. Thanks Andreas, looks good! ( I know it's not a competitor to mine, competition is not my thing anyways)

I also have a tiny lot that does a similar function but it is no where as pretty as this. It was uploaded 2 weeks agos so was in the spam times. 9 As for competition we need a bit of diversity so people can make thier own minds up.

Actually, this complements mrbisonm's lot; my grandfather tells me that his father's farm had a generator that charged up a battery array which was then used to power electric appliances.

What a fantastic idea. Indeed much more realistic then planting windmills everywhere. Thanks for adding more variety and alternatives for power sources ;-)

There is more than one way to skin a cat. Indeed, tricking the game is necessary sometimes with a wondertree. Good work, though I tend to be conservative with my ratings.
