The Official Petition for a SimCity 5
Goldfish4209 replied to eternal_sky's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I don't think this petition is necessary. Cities XL looks pretty good as of now, and is pretty much the successor to SC4 as the city sim for hardcore fans. -

I ran the game for about 2 years, and commute times dropped a bit at first, then stayed there, so I assumed that the new traffic sim was done taking effect. Guess I'll have to find that out later. First the congestion graph has been known to behave somewhat "buggy" at times, For instance I have noticed myself some peculiar behavior from it in spots.. although overall its a very solid graph.. As far as the added congestion around intersections, this is normal behavior ..and it is created by something called the "intersection and turn capacity effect".. all of the traffic sims use this setting.. to try and aproximate real life congestion issues at and near intersections.. ( its effect goes out 2 squares in either direction).. Actually , if you were to take an average of this reading of all the traffic sims still available .. traffic sim Z is a bit less than the average in this setting.. Thanks, Brianquote> The graph is reading both morning and night commutes? That's a new one.. Thanks for the info.

Another sign that we may be reaching the so called "tipping point". Time is running very short to stop global warming before we kill us all. Seriously, even if all human emissions are stopped today, the earth may keep warming and create more and more feedback cycles that release more and more carbon into the atmosphere, turning earth into venus. But who knows, maybe I'm insane today.

I'm jealous. Can't wait for what's next. By the way, any news on when the new RHW is gonna be released?
-
Why did you come and complain to us about you not getting an ipod? I have a friend that got a fake ipod, and we all made fun of him for a few days, but then everyone forgot about it. I wouldn't want to watch any video on a screen that small in the first place. You'll live with it, and it works like any other music playing hardware. Also, for the record, we're not supposed to talk about piracy here, etc. etc. etc. (last time I checked?)

Foreclosures, abandonment, dilapidation, yay! -
Nice! I can't wait to get my hands on this stuff! Do you know when this stuff is coming out? Also, does the El-RHW come in variable sizes, or is it just RHW 4? Good job!

I'm running vista 64 with 4GB of DDR2 and 512Mb on my 3870. SC4 runs fine, except when I'm planting a ton of trees, but I guess nobody's rig can run that at full speed. SC4 is pretty much fully fed, but 3ds max still won't run without a pagefile. Oh well.

I went to a "christian school" for a semester and the geography teacher claimed that people in latin america were catholic, not christian. Long story short, I put christian on the test instead of catholic anyways because it seems absurd that catholics aren't "christian". I guess it depends on how you define christian. I would guess that it's anyone that worships Jesus. As far as I know, catholics don't attempt to distant themselves from protestants that much, but feel free to dispute this. Mormons, though, I have always thought of as not "christian", although they worship Jesus. This isn't really based on logic though, it's just my 2 cents.

...equally amazing is the fact that there's at least 19 cranes in that picture. That's a whole lot of construction.

Wal-Mart Employee Trampled to Death

Close the store? Burn that heretic, millions can be made today, nobody cares about that dead guy! This is... odd... Seriously, there was something in walmart that was worth that much to people? -
Nice job! It's all really nice work. Also, I see that you got fraps? For some reason mine's capped at 30FPS, maybe it's some windows VSYNC thing... And how's that airport going?
