About This File

Gracing any skyline it is plopped in, the Hotel Stoneleigh sets a high standard for hotels. Their service is exceptional, and their rooms have more amenities than you can shake a stick at. Hotel Stoneleigh is also a great location for meetings and conventions, as they have a convention center with rooms sized from broom closets to ballrooms.

Oh thank goodness, it's loads better than the last thing on the STEX.... Looks great, as usual, but I'm not sure I like the nightlights. I'm not saying you should do some balls-to-the-wall pink neon lights, I just think you should...reorganize them? Ah I'm speaking garbage now.

And the textures seem a bit rough too. It looks like fieldstones on a 17th century French cottage. I've been to one of those before, I know what the rocks look like. It just seems that large post modern skyscrapers try to drop the rough natural look and go for something smooth and polished.

Okay okay this is the last comment I swear! I honestly love it, really I do. I just wish you would take a break from the whole pomo genre and apply your skills to....something a bit more modern or daring? As for this, well it's great of course! :D

Bluth - understand that I have no control over the stylistic leanings of my team. If DT and EB want to do Postmodern buildings, that's their perogative.

Many thanks to Dusktrooper and Ardecila for their fine work on this one!! :) About the building's style, it is another one of my WOT BATs which are supposed to look part 1920's NY and part apocalyptic future.

Thanks for modding this, and BTW, the WOT series collaboration is supposed to have textures like this, in order to portray a certain feel in the architecture. And sometimes, simple lighting is better than having everything lit up brightly.

Like Britney and EQ said, it's your perogative. And when I mentioned the lights I wasn't criticising their brightness, just their position. I think that a large hotel like that would have its base lit up, especially if it's facing some large street. But even without that this is still a great job!

Wonderful, thanks for squeezing some time in to mod these three - I know what you're up against on this, Ardecila! As usual, awesome work EB and DT!

Nothing wrong with the nightlights, in fact it reminds me of downtown New York areas - I dont see much hotels lit up everywhere when alot of people are asleep.

An excellent building. I plopped it in a city last night and it looks great, although I do agree with Bluthmania about the street level lighting. For a building of such shwankiness, and especially a R$$$ hotel, I would expect to see lights over the awning of the entrance at night.

Another nice work! Not too tall or too short! The nightlighting suits it well! Thanks for another quality bat for my folder!

wyldone- it's a CS, and those generally have fewer jobs than CO counterparts. I am flabberasted, this is absolutely amazing to see some NDEX releases again.
