    Ok, I have to eat dirt on this one. What seems to have happened is that the growable .DESC files for the problem lots in question were causing me problems with the DatPacker. I moved them into a separate folder from the stuff getting DatPacked, and at some point in my Plugins reorganization the folder got moved into a backup. So the game wasn't actually reading those files. If it makes you feel better, someone did read your notes in red. The stupidity just came later in the process as it turns out.

    Sorry, I should have specified what I actually have of the downloads. I have those growable DESC files, which I guess makes me more confused. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with the other ones included in that set. For example, the Jacinto and Greywood lots appear just fine, but Belton and at least one other one do not. I’m away from my computer at the moment. Let me get back and get a more specific list of what the disconnect is

    I'm running into a problem with some of the NDEX collections over on SC4Evermore. These are dependencies that are meant to replace the separate models that are in individual lot downloads, but in a few cases the lots don't "connect" with the new models included in the collection. For example, Belton Lofts by DuskTrooper. According to the cleanitol in the DuskTrooper Dependency Pack, the models included in that download are superseded. However, the Belton Lofts lot is now missing a building. The models are definitely in the dependency pack, but the lot file is not pointing to them for whatever reason. What is the best way to rectify this? I can of course just create a new lot from the models in the pack, but this would lose the props and textures of the original download. Is there a way to "reconnect" the existing lot file to these new models?

These all came from the first link up above. The only thing I couldn't download was the Namsan Department Store.

    All of Moonlight’s stuff was archived here on Simtropolis, and it should contain the Elevated Rail files. Unfortunately they seem to be missing for moment, but should be back before long. I’m not up to speed on the current recovery efforts, so not the best person to ask. If you want them immediately, I’m fairly certain this compilation was uploaded on the Discord while the site was down

    Not so much a gameplay update, but I finally finished re-organizing my Plugins folder and DatPacking everything. The game is running about as well as it can with 15 GB of DLC. I've also made good use of the SC4 cli tool to get everything in the above dat files into the game. I feel like I'm always forgetting what I actually have and I think this will be a good way to discover useful lots that I wouldn't ordinarily use.

    Thanks @Tyberius06 as always. My (hopefully) last question about old Japanese files comes from @Forsma7's Nakahara City Journal. I think I've found most old Japanese village-style houses from Somy, SimCityForce, and similar sites, but I can't figure out what this set of buildings with the brown sidewalls and asymmetric rooves is from: They seem simple enough that they could be one-off custom lots made just for this City Journal, and thus not available, but I wanted to check if anyone recognized them.

    Did you keep the .desc file in the download? It appears fine for me, and the 0xe015f62c seems to refer to the included .desc file. Unrelated question, but I'm still filling out my Asian bats, and I'm running into some dependency issues on Uki's old site. I'm trying to download the agricultural mod, and have tracked down every dependency except the Tenyu Tsubasa "Agricultural Cooperative" file. I see this has come up before in this response: It looks like it was found in some folks' personal files, but as far as I can tell has not been posted anywhere yet. Is this still available?     As far as I can tell, I don’t think it’s a proper dependency. There’s I think just nine basic single-tile lots between the two packs and they all appeared fine in Lot Editor. I’m away from my computer so I’m not able to check in real time.

    Hi again. I'm trying to download Thailand Design Team parks and the dependency "Sao Sing Sa" seems to be gone. Apparently this has been a problem for a while. I found this response from years ago where someone had to provide it with a direct link, but the link doesn't work anymore.

    Apologies, because I feel like I’ve seen you answer this before (maybe even from me), but how do you accomplish the sunken ramp right next the other track? Is the upper track all one custom lot with the slope value set such that it remains flat? And are the walls your own props? Also, on your post a few days ago, I notice a combination of single decker and double decker passenger trains. Is one standing in for the freight train so as to avoid mixing and matching cars? Thanks, and very impressive as always.

  21. Ok, update to the second point here at least. I experimented with removing about 80% of my plugins and it seems to be incorporating my files a lot more successfully. I'm not sure yet if it's still missing things but it's now including stuff from my Plugins folder. A bunch of things fail to generate a thumbnail image, but that seems to be something folks are already discussing. I'm sure this also isn't the best representation anyway because there's probably lots that are missing models now. I wasn't exactly surgical in emptying my plugins. Long story short, it definitely seems to have an issue with extremely large plugins folders. I won't have time until the weekend, but I can try to experiment to figure out where the actual limit is. Unfortunately, I still am having the Alt-Tab CTD issue. This appears to be tied to the lot_configs.cbor and props.cbor files though, because I removed those while keeping the downloaded files in their respective folders and was able to Alt-Tab back and forth as normal. Hitting O without those two files does cause a CTD, but that might be expected.

  23. Thank you again for all the work that has gone into this. This is finally running in-game for me, which is a huge step forward. Both the advanced lot plop and prop painter tools seem to be functioning as designed. I'm currently running into two issues however: I'm experiencing a crash to desktop whenever I Alt-Tab out of and then back into the game. The game shows as running on my Start Menu after I tab out, then flashes briefly when I attempt to re-open before CTD hits. So far I haven't experience a CTD just letting the game run or while using the tools. I've tested it by removing all of the advanced lot plop files and the problem goes away. Don't know if it means anything, but whenever I Alt-Tab back into the game normally, it does a little "blink" to black before settling back to normal game play. It seems like with the advanced lot plop loaded that "blink" kills the game, whatever it is This is much more likely to be a problem of user error, but for some reason the cache building script seems to be missing some vanilla lots/props and everything from my plugins. I do have an extremely large plugins folder, so perhaps that's causing an issue. I'm also not sure what to put for the localization, because that English folder does not exist in my directory, so maybe that's causing problems (I've skipped a ton of those "Duplicate lot skipped" warning lines)
