Wow, some truly beautiful and inspiring parks to behold here.

Hey there fellow mayors, I recently noticed my income jumped about $20,000 when this lot was built in a city. Now I love well-earned simoleons as much as the next mayor, but instant riches like this I feel undermine the integrity of the game. Anyone have any quick fixes for lots that present this kind of issue? Of course removing them from plugins is an option but I'd really prefer to keep buildings as nice as this. https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/22178-golden-dragon-industrial-center-gdic

Lots Generating Massive Profits

Thanks so much Cori! I won't tolerate any corruption in my administration. Nice to know there will be a self adjustment. I look forward to trying them out. Just so I'm completely clear, do the original files remain? -
Lots Generating Massive Profits

I'd really appreciate it Cori, thanks. There's another industrial lot called HK Fab 2 that has the same effect. I'd hope that removing the files from plugins then reinstalling them wouldn't cause any issues. https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/22399-hk-fab-2/ -
simtropolis Miraculous News: Cori is alive!
simcitynate replied to Cyclone Boom's topic in Simtropolis Related
Oh my goodness...the day has finally arrived. Just like that, with her signature "Hiya", Cori's back. I can't help but marvel at the circumstances. How different things could have been. But I have no interest in putting any damper on this glorious occasion by dwelling on the past. The storm has subsided, the dark clouds have vanished, and there's nothing ahead but sunny skies and gentle ocean breezes (caribbeandream.dat breezes, to be precise). I join all my fellow mayors in a collective cheer as we celebrate the heart and soul of ST being fully restored. Do keep in mind though, my issues really accumulated during your absence. I'll start you off with volumes 1-4. You know, just while you get back into the swing of things 😀 Welcome home! -
All I'd like to do here is lower the occupant size, but I've never done it so I was hoping to get some reassurance I've done it properly. I've identified the last number there as the maximum capacity, so if I just change that by about half will everything be fine?

Changing Capacity Satisfied With Reader

Yeah, love your houses! Just seems to me that the number of sims living in them is a bit high. -

My city had reached about 40,000 citizens when I decided to put in some bus stops. To my great surprise, I immediately found my mass transit fares were making me over $20,000. The only reason for this I can think of is this one bus stop which is at 450% capacity and over 76,000 usage. Sure, posting these kinds of profits is nice, but I can't help but feel these are ill-gotten gains due to some glitch. However, if someone can reassure me that I've simply stumbled upon an ingenious way to get rich quickly, I think I could live with that.

Is there a way to find the precise number of total jobs for industry and commercial in city mode? Is there perhaps a building that when queried provides this information?

I've never seen an issue like this where a building will be plopped but only the base texture appears. It's strange because just before when hovering the entire building is visible.

Only Base Texture Appears For Lot

Hardware. I just tried building it in another city and it worked. So, as someone else suggested, it appears it's a conflict with another lot in the same city that causes this issue. -

Below is everything I saw in the download. Based on the reviews I figured it worked fine for most people. However, I noticed in the comments there's at least 2 others who've had the same issue as me. This one's a bit of a headscratcher. -

I tried SC4 PIM Extended 2009 RC8 but I thought SC4 Tool might be more beginner-friendly. So if I were to make a change to the occupant size shown below (001b) would this program make the necessary re-calculations that PIM would so that all values would remain consistent with each other?

Changing Occupant Size With SC4 Tool
simcitynate replied to simcitynate's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Saying as I've already introduced the topic of capacity satisfied, I might as well ask, anyone know why creators tend to go with higher resident numbers than Maxis houses? It seems quite common even amongst the most popular architects like @mattb325 so I figure there must be a good reason. Also, I came across this mod which looks intriguing. If anyone has tried this please let me know if you'd recommend it. -
Changing Occupant Size With SC4 Tool
simcitynate replied to simcitynate's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I wasn't sure if people would necessarily know what was meant by "capacity satisfied" as I thought it could refer to other values as well. If it's crystal clear though, I'm fine with using it. I took a stab at using PIM-X but just wasn't finding it as straightforward as I'd hoped - certainly not as easy as Leprop or Reader. Looks like I'll have to learn all about the "filling degree" for this task. Is there a particular guide for this you'd recommend? -

Changing Occupant Size With SC4 Tool
simcitynate replied to simcitynate's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Yes I'm aware. What I meant by "occupant size" was the maximum number of sims in the building. Perhaps I should go with "occupancy number" to be clearer. Anyway, looks like I'll have to consult this manual. -

Feeling a bit lost here, but is it Capacity Satisfied that I should be editing? -
Changing Capacity Satisfied With Reader

Ahh, well this is exactly why I thought it'd be wise to consult an expert first. Reader is what I'm familiar with so I was really hoping I could do it there but it sure sounds like PIM-X is the way to go. Also, is it safe to make these changes to lots that are already in your plugins? Or should these changes only be made to lots that have yet to appear in any city? -
I was just curious about the difference between the 2 landmark effects in Reader. When using Leprop, I've noticed it's only the first landmark effect pictured below that can be changed, but when looking at buildings in Reader it's often only the second YIMBY/NIMBY effect that's present.
