Hello, I used to have this issue as well when I downloaded this mod. I suppose the only way to fix the brown boxes is to download the original Maxis landmarks as allocated: https://www.sc4devotion.com/home/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50 Good luck

Hello again! I made a city on the smallest sized tile in a fresh new region with no other cities in the region whatsoever, and I laid out all dense Residential and dense Commercial zones. With the help of a demand mod (The ordinance one made by Ripple Jet, I enacted the ordinances that super-increased the demand for Co$, $$, $$$, Cs$$, $$$, and High-Tech Industry) the city ballooned to about 109,000 residential residences. My mayor rating was 100, education was 200, health was 200, no crime whatsoever, highest land value and desirability everywhere (Except in the middle where I placed a Small International Airport ((Maxis one))). average commute time was less than 0.2, and there were enough jobs for everyone (Res pop was about 109,000, Commercial pop was 190,000, Industrial pop was 12,000), yet a good couple of my residential buildings became dilapidated, none were abandoned due to commute time but rather they would change from R$$$ to R$$ or R$, etc. All my statistics are perfect, why are buildings (only residential) still becoming dilapidated?
-
Thank you all for responding Upon looking back, it most likely is not due to my custom content but rather what A Nony Moose and Moskva said, probably when I enacted my ordinances on increasing demand for Commerce, despite increasing demand for all wealth classes, the residential classes didn't keep up or was not proportional to the jobs, etc. Thank you again.

Custom Demand Ordinances mod
lsrprules2 replied to BurroDiablo's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Hello there! Sorry to wake this old thread, but I would just like to thank you very much for creating this mod. It's been very helpful in my quest to make a region full of self-sustainable metropolises. Very good mod! However, I would like to request if there's any way to add residential demand in some way, shape, or form, to this mod? The stats in the first such self-sustainable city are perfect: Mayoral Rating, Health, and Education are all at maximum. Absolutely no crime whatsoever, highest possible desirability everywhere, lots of skyscrapers, and more than enough jobs for everybody. (On the smallest-size tile in which the city was made, there's 109,000 residences, 190,000 commercial jobs, and 12,000 industrial jobs.) Yet, my residential buildings are becoming dilapidated, downgrading from $$$ to $$ or $, etc. I haven't built any mass transit, avenues, or highways in the lone city, but average commute time is less than 2.0 anyway. Please help? -
True. Well, thank you for your help again

I thought so too, but there's enough jobs of all classes to accommodate everyone. :S

Hello everyone! I just was wondering how people manage to make perfectly straight shorelines that allow for the perfect, aligned construction of boardwalks? Is there some sort of map editor program I need to download? Thank you in advance!

Making Boardwalk-Worthy Shores
lsrprules2 replied to lsrprules2's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
LOL that made my day Yeah, I've been searching the internet for things to help me make gigantic cities with relative ease and in a matter of seconds, but you, along with several others, helped me realize that that shouldn't be my goal, but rather, to make realistic cities, and that's where the fun really lies in this game. Thank you again. -

Thank you for replying! That seems kinda meticulous and prone to error, but if its the only way to do so, I'll take it. Thank you again. -

Wow, these ALL (every single one of them from the beginning) look amazing, and I'm not sugar-coating one bit. Awesome job guys. Hopefully my Radical RCI Mod will make a city that could at least hold a candle to these.
-
EDIT: Sorry, I meant second one. Good luck again!

In my opinion, Jason, the first one is best. This is because its more manageable and, although it takes a little while and understanding to get it to work at first, it should be easy to use for any intermediate user. What separates the first mod from the others is that you can choose which levels of wealth and/of which types to grow and to what extent. Otherwise, the other two just explode all types and so you have equal chance of having R$ as R$$$ despite what you do. If you read all of that, hope it helped you, good luck!
great work. but please remove the word 'alleged' before threat of global warming. Only in america is global warming disputed. The rest of the world treats it as FACT. Please dont insult the rest of the world's intelligence just because americans are stupid.
Not all Americans are stupid, mind you, and to assume that the entire country of +300,000,000 people are only shows your own stupidity. OT: Thank you very much for the BAT, Pegasus, it really is useful.

I can't stand the number of people who would leave snide comments and feel high-and-mighty by saying "This lot sucks, it needs work" impolitely over the course of 2 unnecessary comment boxes. Just say that it needs work but thank you for your effort - don't make a federal case out of it.. Please ignore those type of people. Anyway, this is indeed a great lot for cheaters but not as realistic, of course. But thank you for your effort, and hope to see more from you soon.

Hello there! First of all, what an excellent BAT, I can see the dedication and effort you guys put into this building, and its a pleasure to have it in my city, thank you! However, I do indeed have a problem. I use the SimFox Day n' Nite mod and, after extracting all the folders to the Plugins folder, I saw that I only had a United Nations Building(Maxis) file and not a (Dark Nite) file. Could you please help? Thank you very much.

Hola. I downloaded the WTC complex from rubrik3, making sure I downloaded all parts correctly. I cannot however seem to get its night lights, or any other BAT's night lights for that matter, to work. Could you please help me? (And step by step as well? )
-
Nevermind, it was just bugging because I didn't give it water earlier. Thank you very much for your help dude, appreciate your patience and helping me out, I wish you a very merry Christmas.

I followed the steps of the guide PRECISELY. However, I went into SC4, started an ew city and placed just the WTC Complex Lot by rubrik3, a Solar Power Station, and a water station. It didn't light up. It deteriorated, then lit up for a split second, and turned back to normal again. It did that a few times then I quit. Any help? I remember successfully downloading the Night Light patch before without any problem on the WTC Lot last time as well.

Alright, I'll try it out - thank you!

Thanks for your reply, but when I clicked on "this section" it just brought me back to this page. I am playing Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition by the way, and I do not think I installed the patch.
