How do you search on the exchange now?

I'm sorry in advance if I'm in the wrong place but I'm not sure where to go so I thought this thread was close enough. Whenever I try checking for new SC4 BATs Lots, etc. they (if any) are always mixed in with a bunch of uploads that were updated (which are fine) or uploads that were just updated or uploaded long ago, ("Updated 5 May 2004" or "Submitted 29 Aug 2009"). When I click on "New Content," "Files," "Only items I have not read," & "Since your last visit," all I get are a jumble of files. -
[Solved] Has anyone else had trouble with the STEX Search?

With in the last two days I've noticed that no matter what I type in the search bar it always comes back as "no result found for..." I've typed in terms like traffic lights, New York, Hawaii, Washington Street Arch, & farm and all have come back the same. Has anyone else had trouble with the STEX Search? I:f so, does anyone know what the problem is? If this has already been reported, is there any idea when it will be fixed? I've also found that when I click on "View other files from this member" there are no results itttttt just says "There is no information to show." -

This was a waste of time. I spent two days going through this site, other SC4 sites, & Googling all of these dependencies & was still unable to find the NSQ.dat (NSQbuffalo) one. How dare you presume to be to lazy to provide a link to these dependencies or at least provide the files these .dats are in & expect everyone to work seven times harder (like I did) to try to find them.

I like the idea. Being the son of an old school trucker I've been around the life & I get what 7499275's trying to say. These trucks are commonly seen parked along side the highway in rural areas where there is no concrete texture, just the side of the road. Truck drivers usually pull over on the side of the road, into rest stops, & if they're in town they're at truck stops or they're at their destination to pick up or drop off a load & pull in somewhere to catch a few z's while they wait for the place to open. Trucks aren't going to sleep on the side of some urban street, that's a traffic hazard. 4/5.

I live in a small town & that almost looks like the ambulance shed here. it doesn't have any boxes, shrubs, or a fence around it. The way needs to be clear so the ambulances can roll out as soon as they get the call. All that stuff would just be an impediment so I wouldn't bother with all that junk if I were you.

I have yet to see "please remove the Maple Leaf, Union Jack, Tricolour, etc, etc..." on any of the comment's on this site but constantly I see "please remove the US flag" or "please remove US markings" followed by some weak claim that "it's not realistic" because the poster is from another country despite the fact that it IS realistic because the real life US building the BAT is based on really does fly the flag. It's a fictional depiction, yes, but it's a fictional depiction of the US PRESIDENT'S plane. Specific flags or markings are appropriate for certain BATs or Lots. For example, it's okay for a McDonalds from San Diego to fly the Stars & Stripes, in the case of period specific uploads it would be appropriate for the Confederate Battle flag or the Stars & Bars on a Civil War era upload, it would be okay for BATs based on WWII era German buildings to fly the Swastika, or flying the Hammer & Sickle over a Soviet Era representation of a Russian building. If you don't like the flag then remove it yourself. That's the advice I've followed. Being from Texas I've decided to change any flag I come across (including Old Glory) to the Lone Star (& once I learn how to BAT, other Texas flags, such as the Come & Take It flag). The true issue at hand isn't whether a flag is offensive, or realistic, or "my country's better than yours." The real issue is that all these BATters are kind enough to share their creations with us & instead of hearing thanks, they're only told what they can & cannot create & post. We should be lucky they're not leaving this community or just keeping their creations to themselves in response to all of this ingratitude. If you don't like it, don't download it.

I apologize if this is the wrong folder for this but I've recently picked SC4 back up & I own the Deluxe Edition. I don't remember whenI bought it but I'm curious as to whether or not my copy was made to include all the updates (buildings as props, EP-1, EP-2) or are they custom content? If they were from Maxis where (what folder) can I check to see if they are included or needed?

This is awesome, a definate 10/10. But where's the fueling pumps? (diesel for trucks & gas for cars) And the main building that usually consist of a convenience store that might also sell CBs, radar detectors, seat covers & other travel related things; a truckstop diner, & showers. I've even seen the bigger nicer ones with larger stores with everything from belt buckles to small TVs & fridges for sleepers, arcades, & just about anything else under the sun.
