  1. From a post on Mojang's website: "Though it’s too early to confirm which of us will continue working on Minecraft or other projects, we predict that the vast majority (if not all) Mojangstas will continue to work at Mojang for the time being." Phew, that's a relief. I just hope their prediction comes true.

  4. Wow, that is one large church building. I imagine it must get pretty warm in there, being made completely out of glass.
  5. The Bank of America Building in Mesa, AZ - I always thought it stuck out like a sore thumb amidst the strip malls that surround it, but at least it makes the area more interesting.
  6. Super Smash Bros

I received four download codes for the demo before it goes public on the eShop for achieving "Platinum" status on Club Nintendo. Does anyone want one?
  7. Anyone here want a download code for the Super Smash Bros. 3DS demo? I got four from Club Nintendo a week before the demo goes public. :D

  8. Super Smash Bros

A demo for the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. 3DS has been released on the Japanese eShop. Only five characters are available and the gameplay is limited, but it does give users a taste of what the final product will be like. Currently, nothing has been announced about demos for the North American or European eShops, but the possibility is still exciting. Source
  9. Would this affect the development of the game? Will Mojang still be releasing free updates? I'm going to be furious at Microsoft if they ruin one of my favorite games.

  16. Official Simtropolis Weather Channel

Today has been the wettest day on record in Phoenix history, breaking the previous record for rainfall, 2.91 in, set in 1933. Since midnight on Monday, Sky Harbor has received 3.29 inches in a massive widespread downpour that affected the whole metro area. As a comparison, the average rainfall for the entire monsoon season (July-September) is 2.71 inches. Fueled by moisture from Hurricane Norbert, the torrential rains have flooded areas all over the valley and in Tuscon, causing two deaths. Highways were turned into lakes, driver were stranded in stalled cars, streets became rivers, thousands of people lost power, and several schools were closed, with police asking people to stay off the roads. All of this prompted State Governor Jan Brewer to declare a "statewide emergency." Although the skies are clearing up, there is still a slight chance of rain this afternoon and evening, with a 30% chance on Tuesday tapering off by Thursday. During the deluge, temperatures in my area (Gilbert) reached a low of 73° F, with a high of 86° and humidity levels as much as 90%. While precipitation like this does present a serious danger, here in the valley, we make the most of the water we get. For many valley residents, a downpour like this makes for a day of water skiing, tubing, kayaking, and swimming. Right outside my neighborhood - I had to wade through this to get to the bus this morning: A lake formed in a park across the street. People can be seen boating in the background:
  17. Index of Display Name Changes

Mama Luigi → The Avatar I feel it's more fitting for me. Edit: Oops. It looks like Cyclone Boom already beat me to it. You're on top of things!
  18. New name. Don't hate me.

    1. APSMS

      APSMS

By the way, it's not hate I feel, just unwarranted confusion sometimes. I like AtLA as well (though I felt Korra in season 2 was just awful), enough to make a map of Republic City (on the STEX, *shameless self-plug*) that actually is in need of a redo; I just wonder sometimes what motivated certain people's usernames. Mine is really just my initials, but maybe that's just 'cause I'm not imaginative enough to find something else that would be catchy and easy to remember.

I can't imagine how P'li would've looked like afterwards! Also Jinora reminded me so much of Aang don't you think?

Yes, very much! I think it was intentional to show how she is a true leader and airbending master.

  20. Please rate the work. Pixel art

I think it looks great, but what I think is negligible. If you enjoy making pixel art, then do it!
  21. Unturned

Unturned is an early-access indie game being developed by Nelson Sexton. Set in the remains of society after a zombie apocalypse, the gameplay combines elements of survival and sandbox games in a way similar to Rust, DayZ, and Minecraft, while retaining its own original charm and visual style. Unturned allows you to scavenge, build, grow crops, hunt for food, loot, and explore in an open world, all while trying to survive. You can play alone or with others on PvP and PvE servers. Currently, there is only one map, based on Prince Edward Island in Canada, but more are planned to be added as the game progresses. In addition to these features, Unturned is highly driven by the community. In the words of the creator: "The game is being developed entirely with the community in focus, and tons of features are based entirely on feedback." Possibly the best part - the game is completely free. You can get it here on Steam. Has anyone else played this game? What do you think of it?
  22. Pruitt Igoe Demolition Live Stream

Wow, man, that's really cool! It looks just like the real deal. I'll be looking forward to seeing your progress on this, and the eventual demolition. ('Cause, seriously, who doesn't love destruction?) Will you be doing any other projects besides this one? I'd love to see more of your work.
  23. On a side note, I would highly recommend buying Super Mario 3D Land. It makes excellent use of the 3D functionality and it's very fun to play. It has one of the highest aggregate ratings for 3DS games on Metacritic, too.
