  2. Unturned

    Unturned is an early-access indie game being developed by Nelson Sexton. Set in the remains of society after a zombie apocalypse, the gameplay combines elements of survival and sandbox games in a way similar to Rust, DayZ, and Minecraft, while retaining its own original charm and visual style. Unturned allows you to scavenge, build, grow crops, hunt for food, loot, and explore in an open world, all while trying to survive. You can play alone or with others on PvP and PvE servers. Currently, there is only one map, based on Prince Edward Island in Canada, but more are planned to be added as the game progresses. In addition to these features, Unturned is highly driven by the community. In the words of the creator: "The game is being developed entirely with the community in focus, and tons of features are based entirely on feedback." Possibly the best part - the game is completely free. You can get it here on Steam. Has anyone else played this game? What do you think of it?
  3. 7 Days to Die

    So I just stumbled over this "little" (as in massive) Kickstarter project called 7 Days to Die. In Short, it's your everyday zombie-appocalypse-survival game multiplied by RPG-ish elements times Minecraft plus a bit of a topping of other games like FPS and tower defense and also multiplayer. You can say the basic idea is a minecraft-like game with all there is to it, from exploring over building to crafting (5x5 patterns but luckily including recipes from the getgo), but with a nice addition: physics. No floating blocks. oh speaking of blocks, it's not blocks but a more realistic (yet comic) approach to the environment. as for the world, it's a near-future post-WW3 wasteland called Navizgane, somewhere in Arizona when playing the story mode, but you can also create your own world in creative mode. then come the RPG skills like you would expect it from an RPG. several class-trees you can follow up on, improving your skills further on the related field. and of course the zombies. nuff said. best thing to do is barricade you're hideout the classic tower-defense way with traps over traps over traps. Here's the Kickstarter promotional video and I must say, for an early alpha version I really really really like what I see and definitely gonna follow the development as I'm looking forward to just something like that.
  4. The Destruction of Soirée Sands Welcome to the City of Soirée Sands, or what's left of it... The City of Soirée Sands used to be a populated city with a large suburbia surrounding what's left now is rubble and burning hulks of people's homes. No one know who patient zero was, but 2 hours after first infection it was to late for the city to wake up and realize what was happening... The Infection spread like a wildfire... The Military's Response was a nuclear strike... This is all probably confusing on how it escalated this quickly, we'll have to go back to when this all started, Patient Zero, the City's first reactions to what they thought was a joke, and the Army's response once it was confirmed things were going down. This is just Part 1, I plan on going farther back to the hospital, this was made in a region that is no less than 2 hours old I just started playing the L4D theme and needed to get rid of every hobo in the city. It worked really well, I plan on continuing this! Also, these zombies wont magically dissapear at daytime I'll try to keep it to where at day its more shots of the destruction and rubble, while at night its zombies, fires, and gunshots. Feel free to leave thoughts and ideas, I already have a couple ideas on what the Armed Response could be to the zombie outbreak(thank goodness for the Military Police mod, it'll look amazing).

A series of photos taken by a reader of The Bugle, who wishes to remain anonymous, shows police battling the undead on the streets of Simsville. The incident happened on the night of the 26th, and coincides with reports by other readers of a gunfight near the location where these photos were taken. Read More ...

    Welcome to the first-ever (I think) Halloween "Changeling" lot. Poltergeist Manor is your run-of-the-mill, older but well maintained mansion... throughout most of the year. But for 31 days in October... all Hell breaks loose!!. Literally! Every (game) year in October, the entire lot changes from a lovely old home to the meanest, nastiest, spookiest Haunted Mansion you've been too terrified to step foot in. Loaded with modified animated effects and eerie night lighting, you'll see Zombies and Ghoulies roaming the estate while an unearthly mist moves along the grounds. Occasionally, a soul departs to the accompaniment of sound effects so twisted that your hair is guaranteed to turn white. Unless, of course, your hair isn't already white. This is a 3x3 Landmark lot. Low cost and even lower maintenance. No jobs... no required road access. Just a simple eye-candy lot with a modest amount of landmark-like particles added.
