  1. It's sad to see all these old sites for SC4 content slowly disappear. Some of them are truly windows into the past. But it's so great to hear that all of you work on conserving the content of these sites. I know there is the question of copyright in the room when it comes to rehosting but I really hope that all the modders out there don't see that as an infringement of their rights but as a sign of appreciation for their work and contribution to the SC4 community. Sorry, that's all I can contribute to this discussion, I don't know much about conserving content online but I wanted to express my appreciation for all of you here working on this insanely big and probably tedious project to conserve SC4 mod content for the future.
  2. Thanks, I have found out how to change the tile set some time ago. I also read about the differences between the versions but I can't seem to find the windows version (even used /2nd hand) for a reasonable price currently. My computer also has no CD / DVD drive anymore so I would have to buy that too. The DOS version is enough for the amount I play I guess.

    I haven't seen all posts from this city journal yet but I love the idea so much. It also shows how incredibly versatile and changeable SC4 is with the millions of great mods out there. Definitely going to check out the other posts later today. That said, this whole idea makes me wanna play Anno 1800 again
  4. Hello, I started playing the older SimCity games and really enjoyed Sc3k, now I wanted to try the even older version (SimCity 2000) because I really like these old school visuals. Then I found out that you can change the tile set for your buildings. Somehow though I can't find a way to do that, online it says in the main menu you have the option but I can find it there. Then I read that you can find the option when in a loaded city but there isn't an option either. Is this not possible in the GoG version of the SimCity 2000? I bought Sc3k there too but there it works to change the graphics of buildings.

    Hello, I'm looking for buildings that have advertisements / billboards on them – preferably lots of them. So far I found these two: And some korean ones (they are much smaller though). Does anyone know what I should be searching for to find more or does anyone have links to some? All my searches have been fruitless so far.

    I have IRM installed already and have been playing with it since I started the region, I meant adding the fix mod later on. I have quite a lot high tech industry, might be overkill if I add this fix when suddenly they have so many more §§§ jobs, especially because I didn't really have issues with unemployment. I just thought it might help developing further now because sometimes it starts to feel a bit "stuck". Guess I'll just try and see how it works and make a backup before

    Quick question(s) regarding IRM and the I-HT $$$-job fix: Do I need the fix with this mod? Do they even work together? And if they work / should be used together: Will the fix break my region if I add it in a very late stage of the region (2+ million sims) with multiple tiles developed (with lots of I-HT)?

    I am intrigued by your relot mods and would really like to try them out and see how they change the look of my cities. But I wonder, if I were to install this mod, would I have to start a new region or demolish all buildings and let them regrow? Did you change lot sizes? From the description and images I can't really see what your mod exactly changes.

    You can disable them by clicking on the Sims Menu button below the mayor mode and selecting the vehicles menu. On the bottom of that is a show / hide switching button.
