Do you use one way roads anywhere along any of these resident's routes?

Quite simply, farm templates make up farm fields. You know how farm fields can be any shape (or size) you zone it into? Obviously, these fields are made in a square grid. The 'template' you'd find in the LE is the size of only one square for a reason. It can be compatable with any farm field. The template is copied to fill every square in the farm field, then I suppose the game puts a barn in a part of the field facing the road. Barns and farm templates are actually two different things. And, if you want to make a farm template, go to the LE, and while searching for lots, type 'farm field'

I didn't know you could make transparent textures in gmax/BAT. I know you can with Sketchup, but it never turned out like I wanted it too. As for underground buildings I never have any troubles with that.

Municipal airports attract more commercial growth. International airports attract tourists, which attract commercial growth. The indirect factor my be changing the effectiveness of your airport system. And the advisers never seem to get anything right. But that's just me.

How do YOU name your cities?

I use Latin bases like -sula or -mus or the rather obvious -opolis. Just think of something, usually a geographic feature in your city, find out what it means in Latin (there's an abundance of translaters on the internet) and you've got a decent city name. My best city is 'Litinsula' which means 'Grand Isle' in Latin. -
I'm not completely sure, but it could be your graphics. If you have it set to a low level for this sort of thing, they won't appear in zoom levels one and two. Try changing them to a higher level and it may solve the problem. I won't guarantee anything.
