  1. Game crash when plopping PEG seaport

Make sure you remove the original PEG Seaports from Plugins when trying to use the BSC seaports, but you will need all of the dependencies still.
  2. Adding to lot size

    That would be a no.
  3. Game crash when plopping PEG seaport

I have recently updated BSC Functional Seaports to be fully MAC compatible, as well as the files attached to this post at SC4D. So you can use a version of PEG's seaports safely.
  4. Certain plopped items causing CTD

Sorry for the delay, it has been a busy weekend for me personally. You have most likely had an upgrade to the 64bit MAC version, so compatibility issues will be more prevalent. I'll have a look at the MAS71 walls on the LEX to see what I can figure out. If you have a link for the exact set you're having issues with, that would speed things up. We are currently in the process of checking all BSC transport items on the LEX to make sure it's all fully MAC compatible. I have forwarded your NAM issue to their Discord channel and will tag @Tarkus in so he can check it out when he gets a minute. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of NAM, which is RC37 (available on the LEX), but I don't expect a fix to be available for most MAC-specific issues in time for NAM37's official release.
  5. New Derivative Texture Pack

I would say that Geoffhaw and BarbyW should be credited for sure, but I don't have a master list of all the texture ranges used. I believe catty has such a list.
  6. School Coverage Radius - Bug Test

So I hope the unauthorized models included in the OP's attachment will be removed?
  7. [Solved] Lot Editor not running

I haven't seen anyone complaining about the difficulty levels or the response time, even on Reddit, so it shouldn't be too bad?
  8. [Solved] Lot Editor not running

It may be time to leave Maxis tools behind and use PIMX instead? Basic modding done for you, with plenty lotting options. You can still use Reader and SC4Tool to do the more advanced stuff, as needed. PIMX won't even rely on having the game installed. If you have your original discs & registration code, you should be able to get a digital copy of the game via Origin for free though.
  9. School Coverage Radius - Bug Test

Have you any indication on how this Rep Count is set to 1? Have you been able to duplicate this bug using any of the available tools? i don't see anything transit or TE-related, so I think we can rule SC4Tool out. PIMX sets the rep count correctly at 0. I haven't installed Maxis PIM, LE, or Building Tweaker again yet, as I never use them on purpose. How old a file was this? I'm just trying to get a sense of how big a problem this may actually be, if it is a problem. But even without a proper test, I think we can pretty much expect that the majority of MAC compatibility issues is going to be related to Float32 rep counts. So that's the first thing we need to check out, in building desc's and actual lot files.
  10. Neither JDatPacker nor Wouanagaine's DatPacker (both of which are on the LEX, though only JDatPacker is compatible for MACs) alter the original files in any way. Backing up your Plugins before using them is a bit excessive. You will be able to safely move the original files to a backup folder of your own choosing, while your freshly compressed new files will be located in a new Plugins_Compressed folder, or whatever you choose to name it. While DatPacking NAM is not recommended for Windows users, it can be absolutely essential for MAC players under normal circumstances, according to several posts by @Tarkus. Right now isn't exactly normal, as the team is currently in between a public test version and final release of NAM 37. So I'll leave it to personal preference, since we know NAM 37 is imminent. And by that, I'm using the "menacingly soon" definition of imminent, as that just seems more fun. But it really isn't labor intensive to move the original NAM and zNAM folders back to your Plugins in order to install the new version when it's released.
  11. R$$$ demand bug

The best tool I know of to help with trying to figure this out is the Census Repository by RippleJet on the LEX. It includes a custom query that gives you a ton of information about both your city and region. Place it in your city and get a screenshot of the query, then post that here and I can help more.
  12. SC4 for Mac 64-bit

I'll tag @CorinaMarie in on this one. It may be helpful if you could post a link to the file you're trying to use.
  13. Mysterious Glitch For SimCity 4 Mac

I'm not staff here, so I can't make an official call on that, but my preference would be for someone to start a new thread that can put in the energy to maintain at least a first post on a regular basis. This should include problematic files, preferably with a link to the original. When a fix is provided, there should be a link to either the forum post it is attached to, until staff can get the original upload corrected, or however they choose to handle that. I've already said this same thing in the main 64bit thread, just yesterday, but haven't gotten a response yet. If it gets to the point where I have to make such a thread myself, then I'll do it at SC4D, where I can fully control the moderation and am much more familiar with the forum's code.
  14. The link is in my signature for the full list of Collections available so far.
  15. "Plop" to Overhanging Prop

Not a problem. Don't forget about @Raymond7cn please, though.
  16. "Plop" to Overhanging Prop

Open the model file in Building Tweaker, then right click the model and select Move It, which will have a pop up to enter Axis information. There are details for what each axis does on this pop up. And the values you enter will determine how many meters in any direction the prop is moved. I've just installed it, but after doing a factory reset of my laptop, Admin settings aren't quite right. So that's as far as I can go with you on this. Save a backup copy of the original file(s) and play around with it.
  17. "Plop" to Overhanging Prop

I haven't used it very much at all, so I honestly don't remember much after the Step One Raymond mentioned above. Once you install it, there is a fairly detailed help file available though.
  18. "Plop" to Overhanging Prop

Building Tweaker would allow such a thing. It can take a bit of playing around with it to get it right.
  19. SC4 for Mac 64-bit

I do have another request for ST staff. We really need to be updating the files on the STEX as they're corrected, otherwise we will be chasing our tails and unnecessarily duplicating work in the weeks, possibly years to come. The LEX's Download History allows users to easily see which files they've downloaded have been updated. I am not aware of such a feature on the STEX, and I'm not sure how to make such updates easy to find for MAC users, unless someone would start a thread to list problematic files reported & fixed as we know them to this point, as well as a link to the corrected versions. I will gladly help add to it as more reports come in. Ideally it would be a stickied thread, so that it's easy to locate.
  20. SC4 for Mac 64-bit

For anyone interested, I have made a thread at SC4D to document the MAC 64bit compatibility bugs we have encountered and been able to correct so far. There are still other issues that remain unresolved, and more may be reported. I will add to that thread as we have more verified information and reliably tested solutions. I understand that this information has been spread out in multiple threads, some going several pages with a lot of other conversation in between. So I hope that MAC players and anyone wanting to help them will find my thread as a helpful resource.
  21. New Derivative Texture Pack

I have no problem reporting the files, but I have too much else going on to do the research on figuring out which model is in which pack. You and your staff will need to put in that effort. My obligations to the LEX come first.
  22. New Derivative Texture Pack

The way it was "handled" was to properly credit Somy for his model. As the only active authorized Custodian for Somy's creations, I'm saying that I do not find this any more acceptable than I did in 2008 when BarbyW and I both commented on the file. It is an affront to the very community standards mentioned by your longtime staff member as you wrote above. The model is available in a prop pack on the LEX, as it was at the time this file was uploaded. So, now that you are aware of the matter, I am directly asking you to review it, as an admin.
  23. New Derivative Texture Pack

I do hope you'll get back to me on the Somy matter with a satisfactory resolution.
  24. SC4 for Mac 64-bit

@CorinaMarie you're more familiar with terrain mods than I am. So I wanted to make sure you see this. You've now made an edit to the PIMX XML. How very difficult did you find it?
  25. There have been similar issues reported with the 32bit version, so this isn't a surprise to me. It's not really a matter of how large your Plugins folder is, but how many individual files it contains. Using JDatpacker to combine Plugins into fewer, larger files has been able to resolve this so far. As JDatPacker is Java-based, I believe it will work on 64bit MAC OS, but I don't have confirmation of that yet. One word of caution first: It probably isn't a good idea to datpack any plugins that may be problematic. That will make finding and replacing them once they're corrected much more difficult. So you may want to organize your Plugins folder a bit first.
