Hi there! Puignevat, the 3rd entry of my CJ, a mediterranean small town surronded by olives, oranges, and vienyards fields. When I build mediterranen big cities I am used to zoning residential areas with medium density, especially 2x2 or multiples of 2, and I leave 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 for low density areas. That is what I am used to. But in this case I wanted to try zoning only 1x1 with medium density since there are many buildings of this type, and that way I was able to leave spaces for patios and gardens inside the blocks of houses. I think it is quite good for a small town like this. Hope you like it!

This The Cloth Hall (Sukiennice) was made by MRQS and originally was uploaded onto http://www.simcitypolska.pl/, which is no longer existing and this upload hasn't been available according to my best knowladge since then. Please note as part of the SimCity Polska Restoration efforts and with the permission of the Simtropolis Staff Members (Cyclone Boom, CorinaMarie and Tyberius06), this file has been uploaded on behalf of MRQS. All the works contained within this download (lots, descriptors and models) were created by MRQS. The lot file has been updated with the SC4PIM-X (x-Tool) by Tyberius06 ----------------------------------------------------------- In 1257 by location of Cracow prince Boleslaw Wstydliwy undertook to build the cloth stalls. They were almost like a lane with stalls which was closed for the night time with iron gratings. The cloth merchants were placed on the ground floor, and on the first floor small objects made of metal, clay or wood were sold. In 1300 the whole structure was covered with a roof and in this form the Cloth Hall was preserved until the first half of the 14th century. A new, bricked Cloth Hall was built by king Kazimierz III Wielki. The middle hall was 108 m long and 10 m wide. There were two rows of stalls, 18 on each side. It was covered with vaults, and from the inside opened with ogival or semicircular portals. From the southern and northern side the double, ogival arcade was built. The Gothic building was consumed by fire in 1555. The reconstruction of the Cloth Hall in the style of the Renaissance was started by master Pankracy who arched the large hall of the Cloth Hall. At that time the characteristic attic with arcade sections, the masks sculpted by Santi Gucci showing human heads (wry, deformed by suffering, supposed to symbolize any human faults) and stone loggias, designed by Giovanni Maria Padovano, were created. Cloth Hall - side view In 1601, to improve communication between the western and eastern part of the Market Square, a passing was punched in the middle of the length of the Cloth Hall. Such a move was made on the initiative of municipal councillor Joachim Ciepielowski. The next reconstruction of the Cloth Hall took place in 1875 - 1879, and it was managed by Tomasz Prylinski. All the stalls were pulled down, and the lower hall was transformed into a line of wooden trade stalls placed along the walls. The passing in the middle of the length of the Cloth Hall was decorated with breaks, on top of which masks were put showing the caricatures of the then presidents of Cracow. On the whole length of the Cloth Hall, the ogival arcades were created. No dependencies. Landmark 7x3. Ok, there it is. It was a simple enough upload, so I quickly made it available. Have fun! SideNote: I have a bigger project (restoring the SC4D LEX related SimGoober collection), but as soon as that's out of my way and before I would start a new LEX related restoration project, I'm gonna sort out the SimCity Polska stuff, then I'm gonna invite a few members to help me restoring those contents here on STEX.

I'm fairly sure all the apartments are from Kei's "Japanese Building Style" set uploaded on Gobanboshi's website, but I don't have a link to it offhand. The commercial building is probably from Rush's zakkyo set, which is here: https://sim4rush.tuzikaze.com/sc4/bat.html

This is MRQS - The Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), Krakow which is currently awaiting restoration by @Tyberius06. An older version can be found here: https://chomikuj.pl/pemo22/SimCity+4/BATy/Budynki+u*c5*bcyteczno*c5*9bci+publicznej Note that many files on that site require payment. But the Cloth Hall download should work as it is just within the threshold of 1MB for free downloads.

Gleaming skyscrapers get much of the attention in SimCity, but for true variety, you need additions to the "boring" as well. Houses and small apartment buildings, modest commercial businesses, and of course industrial lots, which are often overlooked. However, they're the backbone of cities, especially growing ones. Try and create a region without them and you'll stunt your community's growth. Here we have a wonderfully modeled I-HT addition from Simmer2, who is a delight to have back at Simtropolis. It's well textured, appropriately nightlit and well modded. It is not a center of attention, but it adds variety to industrial areas, serves an underserved niche in BATs, and makes playing the game simply more interesting. Variety is the spice of life, and it adds zest to SC4 too. Simmer2 has given us a tasty spice to use as we garnish our cities with quality custom BATs. Thank you Simmer2! 5/5!

I read your post over on Show us What you're Working On and I must say I am excited to see you returned to content creation. I have multiple cities with larger industrial areas, railyards and harbours. All of them rely heavily on your masterful work. The sheer number of BATs you have published, the variety, attention to detail and consistently high quality are staggering. I still have not used them all. But I cannot imagine playing SimCity 4 without Simmer2 BATs. So thank you for your work and it is great to have you back.

I began working on this Pub in Bedford, England as it seemed to represent a specific style of Mock Tudor, common in 1930s and 1950s England. Not until I was nearing completion did I realise that it is a landmark, being the longest established gay bar in Britain. Then again, considering the monumental rate at which even high traffic pubs are closing due to the severely adverse tax and regulatory regime that they face in Britain, it is clear that, increasingly, only Specialist pubs, are likely to have much of a chance of survival.

Yes, I think the space occupied by a family's vehicles should be relatively close together to avoid overlaps. Then again, if you can squeeze a small SUV into a group of more ordinary vehicles, I don't think it's crazy to have one group for supercars... You don't see many Porsches in the Carrefour parking lot. But in a series of lots like the ones you're planning, assigning one space to a supercar family, another to an SUV family, and the majority to "ordinary" vehicles is reasonable! A supercar family also allows you to dress up the lots of high residential vehicles... I haven't had the chance to test the [Prop Wealth] property (at the time I didn't have any supercars available)... I hope it works! Since you've made some $$$ vehicles, it would be great to be able to add this property to a family, to an "extended" family type. ...Assuming the floor space occupied is the same as the rest of the family. (Am I a little stuck on this topic... hehe!!) You can, also, apply a timer [ Prop Time of Day ]. Wow... Ok ! That's going to be a lot of work!

Hi, I recently encountered this issue as well. As Ulisse and Memo mentioned, it stems from a problem with your Java installation. Here’s what helped resolve it for me: Download and install Eclipse Temurin JDK (Windows x64), Java 17 or newer. In the installer, enable “Modify PATH variable” and “Set or override JAVA_HOME”, then finish installation. Open a new Command Prompt window. Run where java and confirm the first result points to C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\...\bin\java.exe. Run java -version and confirm it prints a Java version 17 or higher. Launch sc4pac-gui again (double-click), or from CMD: cd "C:\Users\user\Documents\sc4pac-gui-windows-x64" then sc4pac-gui.exe. Hope that helps.

@hugues aroux Thanks for your perspective! I'm new to prop families and my first thought was that it would all be a mess . I guess you'd recommend separating the cars into hatchback, sedan/estate, supercars, and SUV? Btw; How does the prop wealth system work? Is it really necessary for prop families? I forgot to mention that my goal is to make a prop family of European cars (including American, Japanese or Chinese cars that can be found in Europe) and one for American cars (which will include European and Japanese cars that are sold in the USA).

An 8-story fictional Lego store, inspired by buildings in Tokyo in general. This fictional Lego store has the first three floors as store, the next four as a Legoland experience, and top floor cafe and dining. Has full nightlights. I'm sure the ventilation is terrible in this building though. This is basically a special Christmas release for me, as I wanted to get this done before a winter break. Contains a 2x2 CS$$8 building and a 2x2 Plop. Dependencies: None! Enjoy.

Awesome! When I am at home I'll take a look at it. By the way, in the past few months there were several reports about bugs or issues with some SC4D LEX Legacy compilations including Mattb's. Can someone dig out these for me and send me links so I can take a look at them. I saw them, but didn't save the links and now I have no idea what these were about...

Hi everyone, I can't find these apartments and this train station from Keli's city journal. Could someone help ? Thank you

Ah, that's all. ...Sorry, I thought it was a technical issue with the creation of the Props. For this problem, whether you put the pointer in the center or at the head of the Props, it doesn't change the placement; a "long" vehicle integrated into a family of "medium" vehicles will always have an overflow problem. You're not going to introduce buses or 15-ton trucks into a family of cars, are you?! As I told you (elsewhere), it is preferable to have families of objects with roughly similar dimensions. It's significantly easier and more practical to manage when you're creating Lots in PIMX or when creating T21. And it is especially in this latter case that centering and the fact that Props occupy a +- identical volume makes sense. Oooooh yes !! (With the T21 editor, the box - the LOD - is crucial!). Trust me, having created hundreds of sets (test and production) for my parking plugin, or for the SAM1 T21s: having a "centered" Prop box is much easier, faster, and more practical to manage! Even the slightest variations in vehicle "size" generate variations, just like in real life: nobody parks perfectly! If I were you, I'd keep your vehicles as they are, good dimensions! Centering the "volume box" is fine! It's up to the Lottery Creator, or you if you're suggesting families, to manage the placement based on the space the Props occupy!

Windows detecting SC4 as not responding is unsurprising due to all the single threaded work it does. Windows doesn't like it when apps stop processing OS messages for long periods. Adding to the text mod discussion from that mod's reviews: It should be possible to use multiple text loading mods by redoing some of the IID values, but that would use more memory when loading a city. The way the game loads those text strings is that it starts with TGI 0x2026960B, 0x4A5CB171, 0x0A6DEB35, and keeps incrementing the IID by 1 until it encounters a LTEXT resource that does not exist or possibly some other error. The first non-existent TGI in the base game is 0x2026960B, 0x4A5CB171, 0x0A6DEC0D.

Before more information, I want to thank all likes and comments in the last post, so thanks to: @Golan0, @CarstenB, @Barroco Hispano, @Zenist, @brancra, @CaptCity, @JulioC, @TogaMasterJohn, @Honolulu, @Girafarig, @sdrls, @kschmidt, @kergelen, @megie and @Mikeaut1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After we known some San Martin neighborhoods, today we will visit some more imporant district. Our trip will be in the three central districts: Bromelia, Centro and Magnolia. Bromelia Population: 28.145 Bromelia is one of most dense neighborhoods in city and it is separated in two sides by the main avenue Paseo de La Playa which runs west to east throughout the city and divide the neighborhood in two parts. Bromelia have a mix of commercial and residential zoning and there is some interesting things to do: Museu de la Independencia (Museu da Independência/Independence Museum): A museum that initially was created to celebrate the country Independence, but for today have more than that, with larges areas of art exhibitions: An evangelical and a catholic church to show the religious diversity in the city (more like christian diversity than other thing...): And, of course, some beaches (not crowded as Costa Dorada, but still charming): Centro Population: 1.171 Centro is literally the city center, and at the same time is the least populated district. Basically is just a bunch of skyscrapers and highrises (despite the tourism and whatsoever, the people from San Martin and adjacent cities still need work), but there are some specific points that we could know more in Centro: Alcaldía (Prefeitura / City Hall): The two twin buildings where it is administrative office of the mayor, and the large plaza and green space where the people can take a little break, and of course, another church, in this case Iglesia de Santa María, the first church built in city in the late 1700s. And a big mall where people can buy something: Magnolia Population: 10.784 Last but not least, our last district today: Magnolia. It is right side of Downtown, separated by Avenida Magnolia. It is a big district in landmass but is not so populated, due the fact to have the biggest city park within your limits, beyond some interesting landmarks, as we can see now: Starting by the Parque Villanueva, the main city green area (consider the city is limited by space...): Teatro Delgado, the largest city theater, built in 1992 in contemporary architecture. In the top corner we can see also the Museo de la Concordia, one of biggest museums in city: If you prefer some shops, maybe the Rua del Encanto could be an option with various shops, boutiques and restaurants: And to finish, just another pictures from Magnolia, and of courses more beaches: Thanks for your attention, and we will see soon!

Description: Based on various plugins I've found, this plugin contains 4 small (1x1) waterfall lots that can be placed on cliffs to simulate a waterfall on land. All waterfalls can be placed on any slope, even on water (if the bottom part of the cliff is in the sea), to facilitate creating a transition to the sea. They should be able to be combined with most available ploppable water pieces and water mods. For further information, please refer to the Readme files in the download. Available languages: Both the readmes and the in-game description texts are available in English and German. Submenu compatibility: All people using memo’s Submenus DLL mod will find these lots in their own submenu in the Park menu. All others will simply find them in the Park menu itself. Please refer to the Readme to see how the submenu icon looks like. Dependencies: SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Common Dependencies Pack: Required file: BSC Textures Vol 01.dat https://sc4evermore.com/index.php/downloads/download/3-sc4d-LEX-legacy-bsc-common-dependencies-pack PEG PPond Kit 1: Required file: PEG-PPond_Kit_102.dat https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/21661-peg-ppond-kit/ PEG Stream Kit Deluxe Edition: Required file: PEG_Stream-Kit_Style1_206.dat https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/12426-peg-stream-kit-deluxe-edition/ Submenus DLL (optional): https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/36142-submenus-dll/ Installation: Move or copy all files that come with this plugin into the Plugins folder of your edition of SimCity 4. To uninstall, bulldoze all waterfalls you’ve built with this plugin, and then remove all files of this plugin. Compatibility: This plugin should be compatible with all versions of SimCity 4. If not, please feel free to tell me. Support: Please feel free to post issues, bug reports, and suggestions in this thread:
