A DLL Plugin for SimCity 4 that extends the bulldoze tool. This plugin adds several new modes to the bulldoze tool that control which item types it demolishes. Flora Bulldoze Mode This mode is activated in the city view using a Control + B shortcut, this can be done with or without the bulldoze tool active. When the flora bulldoze mode is active, the bulldoze tool will only affect objects the game considers flora. Network Bulldoze Mode This mode is activated in the city view using a Shift + B shortcut, this can be done with or without the bulldoze tool active. The network bulldoze mode has two modes, the modes are selected by the modifier keys that are pressed when releasing the left mouse button after selecting an area. If the Shift key is pressed, the bulldoze tool will remove everything other than the transportation networks (excluding power lines and water pipes). If the Shift key is not pressed, the bulldoze tool will only remove the transportation networks (excluding power lines and water pipes). Diagonal Bulldoze Modes These 3 modes are activated by Alt keyboard combinations. Alt + B for a diagonal version of the default bulldoze tool. Control + Alt + B for a diagonal version of the flora bulldoze tool. Shift + Alt + B for a diagonal version of the network bulldoze tool. The size of the diagonal area can be changed by holding down the Alt key and using the mouse scroll wheel to adjust the size. This feature was implemented by @CasperVg. De-Zone Keep Networks Mode This mode is activated by a Shift + V shortcut. It removes RCI lots and zones, while ignoring the transportation networks. The Maxis de-zone tool removes the street and dirt road (RHW) networks. Unlike the Maxis de-zone tool, this tool cannot remove landfill zones. System Requirements SimCity 4 version 641 Windows 10 or later The plugin may work on Windows 7 or later, but I do not have the ability to test that. Installation Close SimCity 4. Copy SC4BulldozeExtensions.dll and BulldozeExtensions.dat into the top-level of the Plugins folder in the SimCity 4 installation directory or Documents/SimCity 4 directory. Start SimCity 4. Troubleshooting The plugin should write a SC4BulldozeExtensions.log file in the same folder as the plugin. The log contains status information for the most recent run of the plugin. Source Code and Support Plugin thread: https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/763469-bulldoze-extensions-dll-plugin/ The plugin's source code and issue tracker are located on GitHub: https://github.com/0xC0000054/sc4-bulldoze-extensions If you would like to make voluntary contributions to support me in continuing to create more content for SimCity 4, I accept donations via PayPal: https://paypal.me/0xC0000054 Thanks to the few people who have donated to me. -

Clatsop County Heritage Museum located in the north westernmost corner of Oregon in the neat little town of Astoria. Formally just called Heritage Museum, built in 1905 it served multiple civic uses including city hall, library, police station and jail. Eventually it landed in the hands of the local historical society where it is used as a museum/historical archives. Mostly true to the original building save some small details on the columns and window frames which I just could not get to look properly in Gmax. The building also exists on an incline making it necessary for me to give it a different set of stairs without a ramp on the south side of the building (right side of the building in game). And the back of the building which isn't really visible since it now has another building almost right up against it. It costs 1/10th a normal museum operating costs, it has one dependency which everyone probably already has (BSC Mega props) for the flora and one for the sign which I made and included with the download. Thanks to @sejr99999 for testing the lot. -

3 points@Krisman @Samu64d Great job! @SneakyDeaky Thanks! It is based on this palace @Brian J. B.I don't have a Patreon yet, I doubt people will subscribe . I was planning to open one to upload civilian ships and my terrain mods, but I haven't decided yet. The model is a custom request so it's a private BAT for now. If I release it, I'd have to export gardens and a fountain to make the lot but I don't have those models right now so it would be a lot of work for me.

3 pointsGreat pics @CorinaMarie! Hopefully setup of that mod is fairly easy, as I am hoping to install it and also capture some similar shots soon.

3 pointsan update from the 16th, current events perhaps taking up too much of my time. That wonderful new Residential Ploppable cheat ready tidies up the place, repetition in the right places. I'm still not quite sure where that steam is coming from, I should look into that...

3 pointsI've finally restored Corillion from CB's backup and gave this 3D thinger a try. I read all of this thread first and then wound up doing something I've not seen mentioned (or I missed it), but for a top down view using 85 for the Pitch just made it look weird with most of the trees disappearing. (Might be cause I've only got the original Maxis ones.) I kept reducing that in increments of 5 and I liked it more and more. Not only did it bring out the trees better, but it showed more of the city tile. Once I could see the great beyond grid, I then tweaked a degree at a time. Zoom 1 (farthest out) SizeOf 0 (just a wee bit more farther out) CameraPitch 34 (can see all of the tile front to back) CameraYaw 0 (straightens to face head on) Auto Color Correction in PSE2 (makes them way more vibrant, perhaps a wee bit too much but better than dull) For the rest I didn't make notes, but like many peeps posted: Pitch in the range of 10 to 30 and Yaw 5 to 20.

2 pointsGood catch. I've looked into this and it was quite an obscure issue, but I've found it's with the site's data cache. There was trouble with certain URLs which contained an ID number, including all the activity streams, award categories, and clubs. I've made a few tweaks which work around the issue, and ought to improve loading performance of pages. The only concern I have is whether it keeps reverting back again, but I'm monitoring it and so far so good. Ah yes. This is actually an intended adjustment, as we had bots crawling pages for reaction URLs. This was leading to increased server load, since each time the reactions list is loaded, that queries the database. When dozens were doing this at the same time, it sure mounted up. So now the reaction totals display as a guest, but only show the who reacted list when signed in. That sounds odd. I'm not able to reproduce this issue, but it's possible it was cache related while I was fixing that up. Is this still occurring on the homepage sliders? Appreciated, as it helps to have a watchful eye to notice these issues. Thanks again.

LA has its fair share of chateau-inspired architecture and during a recent outing these style of apartment buildings really inspired me. I have created two versions; one with and one without the rooftop sign (very common here in Los Angeles). - Stage 6 R$$$ - Chicago tileset - 2x3 lots - DarkNite versions only - No dependencies -

1 pointThanks Cori, I'll have to mess with the settings more. It seemed like many of the buildings I'm using didn't like the settings, like the rural seaport and some of the historic harbor pieces.

1 pointHmmm... That was quick... Got another just now: 2024-11-26 20:19:02 UTC Los Angeles Cloudflare Ray ID: 8e8c92354bfe2b62 Right-clicking and selecting 'Open in new tab' option on the 'Show Us Your Energy' link in the Showcase/SimTopical section on the homepage. Only tab open (homepage) before trying to open the new one.Refreshing cleared this one up. Using Edge, as usual. Have noticed a possible pattern with mine... Haven't gone back to check every instance, but seems to be more than a few happen right after or while opening a new tab using right-click menu... Maybe...

1 pointI wonder if there is a plugin to resolve the trash issue in the game. As someone that wants to keep the environment and land value polls high (two areas that seem to go and stay low relatively early in the game). Thanks
-
1 pointThanks Cori, I just have steam version but if it's just a drag & drop into my plugins even I should be able to do that without breaking something... I hope.
-
1 pointVery easy, especially if you have the GOG version of SC4. Just drop @memo's DLL file in the installation folder's Plugins under SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition:

1 pointI am OK with it. Good to know it was intentional. No, It isn't. It was fixed sometime yesterday.
-
1 pointYep. Since they are fully 3D upon creation (sans any little caveats about exact verbiage), the automata will look very good no matter which Pitch or Yaw we use. I have an idea to get zoomed in close and try to capture the two tractor automata @Raymond7cn made for me. Ofc, that'll need to be staged in front of a farm. As it happens, no. I was trying so many and then culled the best few pics from a bunch of screenshots. I do, however, suspect the Yaw is 10° and the Pitch is very likely 20° or 25°.
-
1 pointAll these shots are great! But these two shots are freakin' awesome! It's like I'm "back on the farm," as they say! (We should never have left, right?) I haven't had any more time to test this mod much the last few months, but it would seem most automata looks great? I keep saying I'm going to sit down and try and come up with a list of content that looks best, maybe I will find the time. Edit: Did you happen to take note of which settings you used for this angle in the two shots I quoted? It's really cool.
-
1 pointOMG!!! What you are always doing is amazing!! I'm a novice, what is this building based on??
-
1 pointSo life like, unexpected from Cori's region. Good job! I don't know how your PC can handle this (mine can, but it's struggling a lot), but this is just pure awesomeness! Edit: my keyboard suddenly autocorrects to expected lol

1 point@philforhockey51 Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I'll probably add a square-ish brick structure.
-
1 pointStarted fooling around with roof junk as my texture making efforts weren't going anywhere. I'll probably change the roof access building to something different. I don't think it fits well.

1 pointOne of the things I always wanted to build was a lot that would allow trains to run on the slopes so that you could reduce the real estate needed to get a lot of busy tracks through a tight area, the slopes around a set of tracks that were on a higher or lower level would often just be wasted space. So I'm doing it finally... I'm also using the opportunity to make a much deeper dive into things like transit switches and enabling, things I want to do but never really learned before. I've taken a lot that was a HRW/RRW station and converted it and it works - passenger rail, freight trains, and HSR all run through it. The only problem I am having is that while the passenger rail and freight rail pass through perfectly, the HSR trains are still stopping on the lot and I'm not sure why. So I'm still working on it. And I'm working on tunnels because I always work on tunnels...

1 pointThe symmetry sounds neat! We all need and have our own little city-building quirks. We play SC4, which represents the pinnacle of Maxis' achievements; it's practically a requirement for us to be quirky. =D Aka reticulate your splines!
