Looking at Master Murimk's growing empire (rumors say he'll challenge Mayor Paeng next election)... Tourists just love to shop here... ... before retiring to their rented apartments... The residents are generally pretty well situated and satisfied... Along the canals there are still some pretty dirty industrials... The...

A Last Look Back

View Album Fort Pegasus has kept the land quiet... Now that the railroad has reached the area, a small trading post has sprung up, and a first stinking industry has arrived, too (it's purpose became hazy over the ages - something to do with breaking rock, or a smelter)... Meanwhile, others are making the land fit for raising cattle, farming, building a town... Since the town consists mainly of just Main Street, let's at least look at it from different angles ;o) Most notable is the Wells Fargo station with...

Beyond the Wall

View Album Well, restaurating the old city walls really gave a big boost to this city ;-)... We start our tour in the northeast through the HiTech Park... Passing by the freight station... Since the city draws tourists from all over the region, a Grand Central Station was needed... We buy a pair of good walking shoes, then check into the old friendly Family Hotel... Time to check out the Old City Wall, a SimWorld National Heritage... Through the Main Gate and ogling the Old Water Castell... Strolling...

Freightyard Facelift

View Album The growing city needs more tracks and space - old streets, parking lots and some shops need to be demolished and relocated... Here is the area after the reconstruction with a larger freightyard, shiny new administration offices, and some newly established industry... Click for fullsize enjoyment... ;-)

Nuclear Facility

Welcome to Zaporizhzhia

View Album Out in the tundra with its birch tree forests we come across a different type of nuclear facility - looking a bit like one would want to have a geiger counter close by at all times... Zooming in we find even more rust... A huge water pump... Tight security... A monument to itself... Modern and spacious apartments with plenty nature around and lots of jobs nearby... (as advertised)... XL overview here (1800x1200)

View Album My initial situation (hard, medium map, valleys) until year 6 - I laid out a basic village plus blueprinting the Trade Posts and planned expansion across the river... with the fewest people possible (17 adults and 7 kids), meaning I did not have too many resources yet... I spare you the pains of the growing years with starvation and disease, cheating traders, fires and other calamities... so we jump right into year 115, where things have already settled a bit... The original village has filled...

View Album Just a little project on the side where I tried to bring a tamed shallow river into my inner city, providing some relaxing river walks and urban canals to my sims... so this is basically more of a 'proof-of-concept', not a true update ;-) (click for full size)
