You did an amazing recreation of another city that is in my bucket list.   You have recreated brilliantly the hecticness and frenziness of HK, which, like New York, is a city that never sleeps — or even rests.

Absolutely stunning! and i can even see one of my buildings. 

Without ever having been there, I feel in a certain way attached to Hong Kong ever since my involvement with the HKABT. As could be expected, you really did the city justice and managed to capture its bustling and somewhat chaotic flair.

May I ask how you managed those yellow zebra crossings to show up at all the intersections? Is that ebina's old mod, and does it still work with current NAM versions?

Just amazing. Every shot is beautiful. 

I visited Hong Kong this last September as it was quite atop of my bucket list and it blew my mind! You really captured the Central district feel with that glass and concrete towering jungle, and also with the night view in the 3rd picture. My hostel was placed in a similar street and has given me great memories from a couple of months ago. Also, amazing job with the Big Buddha picture!

Great job!! Only problem is that people drive on the other side of the road in HK but that's a mere detail

 

Absolutely brilliant. It's not easy to do justice to a metropolis like Hong Kong but you're certainly up to the task. 

 

This is another of the cities on my list. My interest was piqued by a James Clavell novel called Tai Pan. Set after the end of the first Opium War with China, the book is a semi-fictional account of European and American traders and the early years of Hong Kong. It was revisited in the novel Noble House, set in the 1960's, as a continuation with the descendants of the first novel's protagonists. Both novels use the real-life Jardine family as an inspiration, and whose building is actually available in SC4 (Jardine House). It's visible here in picture 8, near 2 IFC.

 

 

Well well, for having built Hong Kong for so long In SC4 it's really good, well done! It's always refreshing to see someones approach on the city, and you captured it very well indeed

There are some differences between the actual city and the rendition, but those are not important, because the atmosphère is well captured 

As the quote by Rem Koolhaas, a dutch architect goes "It's a weird city because the uglier the weather, the more beautiful the city. And the uglier the buildings, the more coherent the city." 

Pretty amazing.How long does this even take you to do?

@T Wrecks Thanks for the kind words! Your great lots really helped to make this update possible. The yellow crossings came from a mod I downloaded on this page on SC4Devotion here. It should work with the newest NAM installation I believe.

@Bastet69008 Thank you for the kind words! Yeah I just noticed that unfortunately, I coulda sworn I changed it before I did the update but I guess not I updated my plugins and retook the pictures where it was an issue so now everything should be LHD.

I was unfamiliar with the book, but from what I've seen it certainly seems quite interesting - I've always been fascinated with HK in that era and was considering doing a pic or two during that time (ultimately didn't have enough time, though). Maybe an idea for an update in the future, though
