Hiya, Cori!  *:)

As soon as I heard that you had returned, I immediately hopped on here to see the good news!

I am so happy and glad to hear that you are back! I imagine that there is a lot to see and catch up on (and possibly quite a few surprises, too).

Welcome back! :8)

Once you play with NAM installed, one simply cannot go back!

I'm waiting for the day when someone makes a Faber College lot for SimCity 4

Although I joined this forum while you were away, I'm glad to see you back as well.  I went through all of your older posts at one point to download all of your mini-mods that you posted in various threads, which never ended up being put as an official download.  Some of them are invaluable.  And I read all of your posts detailing the tricks of editing, and even how to build a nice farmland community.  It's clear you got a lot of happiness out of SimCity, and I hope you can return to that in some manner again.

Oh my goodness...the day has finally arrived. Just like that, with her signature "Hiya", Cori's back. I can't help but marvel at the circumstances. How different things could have been. But I have no interest in putting any damper on this glorious occasion by dwelling on the past. The storm has subsided, the dark clouds have vanished, and there's nothing ahead but sunny skies and gentle ocean breezes (caribbeandream.dat breezes, to be precise). I join all my fellow mayors in a collective cheer as we celebrate the heart and soul of ST being fully restored.

Do keep in mind though, my issues really accumulated during your absence. I'll start you off with volumes 1-4. You know, just while you get back into the swing of things 😀

Welcome home!

If you check my profile you will find that my lurker status as a non-poster might just set a record. Been around this place for some 14 years but have never posted anything. This means that my knowledge of Simtropolis goes back a long way but has not been very public. Until now.

Welcome back Corina. This could be followed by a bevy of other superlatives but let us leave it as simple as possible. Your return is wonderful news. You are truly inspirational.

Take your time getting back into the swing of the site and the many new and exciting things that are happening here. Since this is my first post (despite the time spent) it will probably need some sort of approval before being shown. Not a problem. Having waited so long to make a first post a bit more time cannot possibly hurt. It took the news of your return for me to break my lurker status and that monumental return is more than worth the approval wait.

If ever the need arises know that we are here for you in both thought and deed.

Hiya, Everyone!

I'm back. *:)

I've re-read all of this thread and the prior one and I am so overwhelmed with grateful emotions to each and every one of you who have said kind things. Thank you ever so much! Please do understand it would take me forever to reply to each of you separately so I ask your forgiveness for not making my replies all personalized. *

However, I do feel very strongly to mention @RobertaME. I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's sudden passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Loss of someone so close is very difficult to deal with. I'm glad to see you've come back and you've regained your passion for AMPS. That reminds me too about my words and actions in your thread long ago and I'm so terribly sorry how I misunderstood you and then lashed out at you. That was wrong of me and I hope you can forgive me for that.

And back to all: Right now my living conditions are rather dismal, but adequate. I've been in touch with CB via Skype nearly every day and he's helped me keep my sanity. I don't have the game or any of the modding tools, but I hope to be around ST most days. It'll take a long while for me to catch up and I know there are so many exciting things going on to learn about.

-Cori

Thank you so very much for your condolences, Cori. It means a lot. --,-'-@

Don't worry about past mistakes. We both made mistakes and it can't be undone. The best we can do is forgive and forget and move on.

When CB PMed me to let me know you were back, I just HAD to come and welcome you home! (even though right now my head is full of cotton, hay, and rags due to this stupid summer cold I've got) This is the best news I've gotten in a long while!

I'M SO VERY GLAD THAT YOU'RE HOME! MISSED YOU!

::Giant hugs::

Cori,

I would think of you often as I troubleshot through things from many years ago and your wise words directed me through tumult and chaos. Even in your absence, the eternal nature of the forum still allowed you to humbly and skillfully guide me through the issues I faced in my sc4 pursuits.

Maybe if the world were filled with more people like you, it would be an easier place to live in.

I am so happy you are back, so I can say, thank you. Thank you for your mind, your words, and your devotion for this thing we all do, through all these years. But mostly, thank you for not giving up, and thank you for coming back to us. You've shown us what resilience looks like. I hope that your comeback inspires others who are similarly in a rut or have thought the same way you did.

Thrilled to hear from you again. Hope you continue to take pride in your beautiful, pastoral regions----or whatever it is that makes you happy nowadays. May creativity and joy abound.

with love,

Joey

Welcome back to Simtropolis @CorinaMarie! I'm so happy you've persevered through the past few years and have made a comeback! Life can be very difficult, and nobody is immune to those difficulties. I know that myself, and I've been going through my own tumultuous time of challenges lately. What matters is that you pushed through and now you're on that upward trajectory. I hope you've come to realize how special and meaningful you are. Simtropolis just isn't complete without you.

As I said things have been a bit rough for me so I haven't had a lot of time for SimCity 4 these past few years, but hey - who knows - knowing you're back might just inspire me to resume on my city journal! I definitely miss playing lately.

At any rate, I hope you're doing swell and I hope to check back in here & there and continue to learn from your insights. :)

Like a lot of other things, I tend to be touch-and-go with my interest in SC4/City Builders, so I don't post here very often.
I am glad to see Cori(Rina?) has returned. Welcome back.

Cori(Rina?)

From my About Me page on my Profile (written in 2016) I said:

"My RL name is Corina Marie. No, I will not tell my last name. I went by Rina for a lot of my life. Now, I like Cori. Any are ok with me. If you feel one expresses me to you better, feel free to use it. Some peeps like me as CM. Tho many will skip the capitalization. Whatever." *;)

Cricket is one who chose Rina as my nomenclature. (I'm guessing, but don't know, they might be older than me and so that sounds more natural to them.)

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !
