Hi.

Sadly, petitecherie, I don't know where you can find those. But then again, I've only been on Simphoni, ST here, and the SC4 website. So sorry.

But I'm looking for some R$$ or R$$$ single family homes that look nice and are growable.

I know that is a tall order but I want more homes than Maxis' and I think I have ONE Eagleland Pack.

Hey there!

Can I ask you guys something?

What files should I download (dependencies and such) for the basic setup of CDK3? (Coastal Development Kit, am I right?)

There are so many files and I'm really confused.

The CDK3 is truly a huge collection of coastal development lots. What should be considered as "the basics" depends on which parts of the CDK3 you install.

The CDK3's main "subcategories" are:

- CDK3-SP (Seaports)

- CDK3 OWW2 (Old Wooden Waterfronts)

- CDK3 Marina

- CDK3 Seaport Village

I really want to help you, but I don't know which part(s) of the CDK3 you want to install.

Anyway, I recommend checking out the home of the CDK3 at the PLEX (registration required). I'm sure you'll find your answers there. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Hi everyone!

Still somewhat new to ST, but I recently read about a mod that will change your road/highway textures to make them appear darker. I was just wondering if anyone had a link to these and also if they will conflict with any of the other CC I have downloaded such as the RMT. Thanks in advance for your help.

@slvrlakesmoke: Try this one by mrtnrln.

A "highway restyling mod" of this kind should not conflict with other custom content, at least not the RTMT or the RHW as the Maxis highway is a completely independent network. Read the installation instructions carefully, though.

Judging from the picture, it's impossible to tell whether or not the actual lots used are pedmalls.

If you could bear with just getting the look, do a search on the STEX for "White Plaza Set". I'd love giving you a direct link, but unfortunately the STEX search is down right now..

I've been trying to identify the sunken rail network with no luck. However, I do suspect that it's NOB's sunken el-rail. NOB unfortunately seems to have made the files unavailable for download, according to his homepage (which I do not completely understand, as it's Japanese..).

Regardless of the creator (I don't know for sure if it's NOB's) it looks like it's functional, as Vester's automata skin can be seen on the tracks. I doubt this would appear if it wasn't a functional network..?

The picture also reminded me of a BAT project by McDrye I saw over at SC4D. Allthough designed for heavy rail, it's similar - and breathtaking. Be sure to check it out!

Let's all hope that NOB decides to reupload his sunken network pieces. I'm sure you could build an impressive sunken network with the GLR pieces and some retaining walls as well..

@Marbas8989:

Have a look at Porkissimo's Parisian buildings (German site). Most of them have copper roofs, allthough old fashioned and a little worn out..

These may not be what you're looking for, though, as they are designed to fit in a wall-to-wall (W2W) setup.

In that case, the needed dependencies should be as follows:

- PEG-CDK3 Container Seaport (for the seaport itself)

- PEG-CDK3 Super Pak

- PEG-CDK3-SP Container Ship Fleet Pack

- PEG Security Fencing Kit

These are only the "basics". You can always expand your seaport with additional CDK3-SP lots, such as the Corner Docks, Row Warehouses, the Container Dock etc. Please be aware that with these additions, new dependencies may apply.

The links are direct links to the PLEX, and registration is required. I'd recommend registering for several reasons, the most important being that this is the main site for PEG creations, and thus the site for best documentation and FAQs regarding these.

Final note: When installing/unzipping PEG files, do not change the default folder structure or the name of the folders. This will make life easier in the long run.

Can someone please point me in the direction of a small, ideally 1x1 power plant which can be placed within or adjacent to any type of zone, R, C, or I without any NIMBY, polution or other negative effects?

I am absolutely positive (test) lots of this sort have been floating around the web somewhere...

1x1 one blank lots that have:

RCI Ploppables of 10k, 25k, 50k, and 100k pop....yes, even the bugged Residentials.

All the way from R$ to I-HT...I need these for experimenting (and sandbox play!).

...I'm asking this because I have no experience at all with the Plugin Manager, or Lot Editor.

Instructions for NAM showed me how to use Home and End keys to rotate a tile before placing, and Tab key to select different tiles. However, the sidewalk on park tiles do not permit pedestrian traffic. Although they have sidewalks with nice lamp posts and park benches, the Route Query still shows absolutely no traffic. How do I build a trail or sidewalk wthin a park tile, ensure residential houses face the park, and most importantly ensure pedestrian traffic along these sidewalks?

There is a "Ped Mall" tile, many actually, in the roads section. Use those.

There are different styles, bridges, and there are many plopables that work with it.

Does anyone know how to make a lot generate traffic? I'm working on a series of biker related lots, and I need to have them add motorcycles to the traffic. The bikes already exist, you can set them as your sims vehicle, but they never appear in traffic. I need a way to make a lot generate them once grown, or plopped, similar to the car dealerships here on the STEX. any help would be..um..helpful. Also on a related note, is it possible to make your own U-drive it missions? I noticed a few effects in lot editor that seem to indicate this is possible..

@Elric888: There a a sires of "Traffic Generators" on the STEX, but you are making your own? And they will only spawn motorcycles? Never seen that before...anyways, you would place the animation of vehicles on your lot but for ONLY motorcycles? I wouldn't know what to do. Maybe talk to someone who has made traffic generators or to someone who has experience dealing with that sort of thing.

Not quite like the traffic generators. Im making a Harley dealership, and some biker clubhouses, I just need to make the lots ADD motorcycles to the already existing traffic. I could probobly figure it out on my own just by examining the .Dat files for the car dealerships, I was just hoping someone who knows how to do it will chime in with instructions, or exemplar data for the bikes.

Im looking for a download that puts all the buildings that grow when you put down zones, actually all of them, and puts them all in the landmarks section, so that you are able to pick any one and place it down in your city. Any ideas?

Anyone know where a money tree is that gives you a least a billion per month? Not via the official SimCity 4, since I am having troubles downloading things from there.

Side note - if there is no other site that has it for free, without signing up - Can I put multple of the trees that give 50,000 per month from this site, will it give me 100,000, 150,000 and so one?
