Just kinda packing stuff in there, even the small buildings are hi-dense, they are just from the euro template, and the hi-rise from international.   I've never been good at making it pretty, more into pushing the limits of the game.  200k, still haven't hit the agent limits yet.  I've never hit the building/zone limits they recently raised, even with 500k on 25 tiles, although that city did hit the agent limits.  I hear it's possible to hit agent limits on 9 tiles though, that's what I think will eventually happen here.

Here is beautiful San Pelayo. The city is inspired by southern California and it's lovely, lovely sprawl. Population is about 140,000, and I doubt I will top a quarter of a million.96EA7CD5BD021966B9A9E865C7E6653BB147C4C5

I was just surfing the internet for some city building inspiration... and suddenly I find some screenshots of a map I uploaded into the workshop. I really love what you made out of it cs_k3! hadn't even dreamt of it to become such a beautiful city :)

Birds-eye (sorta) view of the metro area. Vaudeville in the foreground, Dundeville in the back and Bryant to the right. Threedams at the top and the rural farmland villages near to it. Millennium Gate Bridge can be seen lit up in the foreground.

The districts of the city. Should've removed the policies to make it clearer but oh well.

My last city Fairview unfortunately died on me (well, C:SL died, but it took my save game with it), so I had to start all over again.
It again is going to be an East Coast/New England-style city, sporting the absolutely not patriottic name 'New Holland'. So far I've primarily been building low density residential neighborhoods with Feindbold's Brooklyn collection as well as a few housing corporations and higher density 'sub city centers'. Next up on my to-do list is a downtown/CBD area, which is going to be located on the other side of the river.

This is what I got so far:

Thanks! I do actually. Those pics I posted were mainly centered towards the Southwest side of town, which is still relatively rural. Here's a couple pictures from the more developed Northeast Side.

Two almost satellite views of the latest development. I've been doing terraforming. Narrowing the river (current strong enough to drain though it's still normalising to the new conditions so there is flooding popping up now and then). Night w/ minimap and morning view. Planning and placing the new road layout. When I created the map I created the land a bit too high in retrospect. There is in places a 21m gradient to get a road down. I don't mind having the hill but I should've at least made sure it wasn't so steep. Still, you live and learn and I've managed to make it not look quite so ridiculous. New bridge built north for another river crossing. No idea why. Traffic wasn't really too busy to necessitate it. Just felt like it'd suit.

Not sure if some of the changes suit though. The coastline doesn't feel as natural anymore. Heh, just put it down to massive civil engineering projects for land reclamation for business development purposes. Might end up altering the curve on the eastern side though. Looks off to me. Also have to redo some of the bus routes since messing about with the roads have messed them up too.

What camera tool do you use to zoom so far out? That's as far as my free camera goes and it's starting to chop some parts of the city off now because it won't fit.
