If this was a pre-existing city, click using the road tool on sections that are the wrong texture.  One click is usually enough to turn 6-8 tiles to the right texture.

 

If it's a new city started after you installed the euro textures, then I don't know.

 

That process actually won't work; most texture mods take in effect without having to redraw anything. My only guess is something went wrong with installation.

From the looks of it, you installed the Euro Textures that were downloaded separately from the STEX instead of the ones included in the NAM installer. Please run the installer again and select the Euro Textures in the custom installation options.


Read the Readme or drown in bugs and glitches; the choice is yours...

When the all-in-together NAM (30?) first came out I walked my plugins and dropped anything that might conflict.  This was a good move considering some of the trouble calls we've seen here.

I'm having issues with NAM 32. I don't remember the version I overwrote it with, but all my cloverleaves and transitions used to look fine.

Also I don't like the fact there are now only two lanes instead of three on the standard highway, and I couldn't switch lanes while on Rush Hour mode.

I think you have installed the Maxis Highway Replacement (also known as Project Symphony). I suggest you read the manual on this in the NAM documentation. If after this you decide you do not want the Highway Replacement all you need to do is rerun the NAM installer and make sure that option is deselected.

I have a weird problem with the Real Railway Mod. So the basic track is working fine, but the wide radius curves (or T21s) have not converted into real railway T21s. So are there real railway T21s or is there some kind of file clash which I have not noticed?

 

Oh yes, are there any FFAR Real Railway pieces?

Wide radius curves are puzzle pieces, not T21s (those are props that appear on the side of networks, like signals or street lights).  If the textures are not converted, it usually means you have another rail mod (Rivit's Upgrade Mod, PEG Alternate Railway mod) lurking in your plugins.  Search and destroy.

 

FARR has been converted.  It's under the normal FARR button in the rail menu.

Uhm, do car automata work in RHW? Because I tried to plot traffic generators and the moment they enter the 8 lane expressway, they suddenly disappear. However, other cars from residential, freight trucks and even cars from police and fire stations do not act the same.

traffic generators?  If you want traffic why not just set the persistent automata option?  I think it is in with the NAM installer or TSCT.

Due to the way the pathing of the wider RHW (and NWM) networks is set up, they don't play nice with traffic generators. This causes non-commuting 'dumb' traffic like taxis and moving vans to swerve between the two tiles and disappear quickly. Since traffic generators produce 'dumb' traffic, they are subject to this madness as well.

Hello, looking for help again

 

This was a piece of ground highway with road overpass including ramps, I remember it just being one big ploppable piece, I didn't make it in game.

 

Anyway I recently reinstalled NAM for European road textures but as careful to keep everything else the same. Now it just looks hideously out of place, not to mention I went to use it again and could not find it in any menu. Can anyone advise?

So, I resolved the Real Railway FFAR and Wide Radius curve problem; turns out I had a railway texture mod with the cleverly disguised name of WRCT. Anyway I found this new texture conversion problem with nbvc's 4 by 9 Tank Car Filling Station ().

As you can see there is one diagonal T-junction piece which has not converted to the RR textures. I've checked other buildings which have railways in their lots and all the railways have converted to RR.

 

Is there a fix to this or is this a glitch which went unnoticed?

I don't think that particular texture was ever made for lots.  The problem is that you have all of the normal textures, plus their lot counterparts.  The RRW comes with only basic lot support (most lots only use the basic textures).  I don't think the diagonal switch was ever created.

 

It can be put in to the next release if you want.  Easy enough.

There are no plans for any 32.x releases, so the next one will indeed be NAM 33.

I just installed NAM 32 and it seems to have deleted just about everything in my plugins folder. It's basically installed a fresh version of SC4D. Anyone had this happen? I have a backup of most of my plugins but not my regions, which have also been erased. Please advise.

But what could have happened? The only things left in my plugins folder are a few downloads I made just before installing the NAM. I should add that the installation did freeze at the very end and I had to force close it and install again. Could that have done something?

Sounds like malware.  I hope you have backup.  Time for a deep virus scan.  The NAM installer doesn't access the Regions folder.

And most of all NAM does not delete any plugin, they just relocate them outside the plugin folder with the help of BSC Cleanitol.

Hi, I tried to install NAM 32 on my computer, but when I click okay after the user agreement, it just stops and says, NAM has stopped working and the installation stops. I already updated Simcity 4 Rush Hour up to 1.1.638, but why this is keep happening? I am using Vista on 64-bit. Help me please, thank you.

Hi there really like the mod. Thought I'd leave a bit of a comment on a problem I had. I resolved my own issue but I thought it might still belong here.

 

I know there is a warning, but I think you need to put a bigger exclamation point by the option to alter the boot.ini. Putting that /3GB switch in my boot ini did terrible things to my system. The video driver/directX couldn't work properly any longer and try to run anything in my normal (1920x1080) resolution caused instant crashes. It caused the sound driver to sometimes bug out and crash, sometimes it would take the whole system with it. It also seem to be causing some network weirdness. Eventually a crash corrupted a system file and I ended up trying a repair install (which of course wouldn't work). Anyways it was all around pretty bad. It wasn't till after skimming one of the NAM documents the searching google that I found out where that edit was made and what that switch did. I got rid of the 3GB switch and things are back to working order.

 

I just thought I'd leave this here in case any one else runs into problems. Someone who's less savvy than me could very well not know what was wrong (the symptoms could have come from a number of things). So ya, put bigger warning on that prompt cause it can mess your system up bad.

 

Since my system is a little older, and it likely isn't an issue on newer systems, here are my specs for reference.

 

WinXP Service Pack3

4 gigs DDR2 ram

Asus M2N-E motherboard

AMD Athlon 64 X2 cpu

Nvidia GeForce 660ti 2 gigs

Creative labs X-fi fatality soundcard

 

Maybe it'll help somebody else if they run into the same issue.

It sounds like you have a corrupted installation file.  I'd suggest downloading the NAM again and retrying.

It looks like my problem got buried, so here we go again.

 

On road intersections the turn lanes on one or more of the roads ends up being on the wrong side. Is this a known issue? I'm using LHD.
