Show us your overview of your city/town. This is where you can post pictures of your city, town, or even a cool nature setting where you are zoomed out enough to see the whole city tile or with large tiles as much as you can.

I'll start with an overview of the city of Echo Bay with a population of 186,000.

Very nice city indeed. I really love how you formed that body of water. Cool marina as well.

Nice images. I always have problems with adding mmps beside roads and highways. :(

Here is the Town of Halminton. With a population of 38,800 it's just under the 40,000 mark which it needs to be designated a city under the provinces jurisdiction.

The town is home to the only seaport in the eastern area of the region. It's located on Sugar Island which is the biggest island in the region.

Halminton is the biggest town that is fully built on the island and it covers five medium sized city tiles.

Here is the northeastern overview of the town.

This could be a multicore issue. I've had this problem too even for years until I happened to stumble upon a solution. Please try this: (I hope I can make it clear, I have Windows in German and don't always know the proper English terms.)

    - On your desktop, right-click on the Sim City 4 icon and choose "Properties" (last entry).

    - Try out clicking on the tabs until you get this screen: (Click to enlarge. "Ziel" literally means "goal", it can, however, also be interpreted as "file path" in this context.)

    post-353048-0-13217100-1415187571_thumb.

    - In the box highlighted with a red frame, enter this text after the file path: -CPUCount:1

This forces the game to only use one processor core (as far as I know). I'm using this too and it has reduced the amount of CTD's of Sim City 4 significantly.

Edit: It can, however, lower performance.

I would say those count since you are showing an overview of a certain part of your city.

Thanks, I changed it to 1 CPU, the game runs a little slower but at least I don't have crashes anymore.

Hippopolis (city pop: ~463,000 & reg pop: ~1.7 million).  It was designed after Madison, WI, but is starting to remind me of NYC more and more.  A case of convergent evolution I suppose.

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

"The wisest men follow their own direction." - Euripides

After about a two month break I had some time to play the game. I've change a few things with the water and the way I design the cities.

Here is about half the city of Newberry, the other half is still under construction.

Got a little break from work and school and had some time to play it again.
This is the city of Newberry. It's located on Sugar Island just across the St. Mary's River from Sault Ste. Marie.
Not actually in real life, Newberry is located west on M-28 from I-75 between Lake Superior and Lake Michigan.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Where did you get this coal port!?  It's really neat and the one thing I need to make my thermal power plants complete (I already have fuel tanks usable for biofuel and petroleum power plants).
