@simmering What are your main inspirations for these cities? For me, they give really serious US Rust Belt vibes, to me it feels like being in southern Michigan, Connecticut or New Jersey. If you concur, then I suggest looking for names reminiscent of medium cities in these areas. You got some really cool ideas in here!

That is exactly it. I am very fond of NYBT and mipro BATs and old industry. I limit the high-rises' style areas from art deco up to the 1960s. Thanks for the naming inspiration!

Some overviews of my new town in Cybeles (Maxisland). Demeterville is a 19.500 inhabitants thriving town inside a prosperous agricultural plain.

 

 

 

The small village has grown thanks to the construction of the railway, connecting the city with the rest of the region, and attracting some successful companies on the nearby boulevards.

 

The town council has elected a terrain on its northwest boundaries to install a small industrial area :

 

Now the town council is considering an extension on the northern side of the expressway, although the local ecologists defend the Artemis Wood and farmers wish to put forward the value of good land by extending their fields.

 

After a few weeks of struggle with a suitable planning for all parties, the land has been fairly divided in order to extend the industrial area on a smaller portion, letting the farmers to enclose new fields. The wood has been sanctuarized, let alone a small housing estate for a dozen of houses :

Connasequot - An old mill town at the confluence of the river that bears the same name, this once-mighty textile town has faded from its former glory. Metropolitan suburbs have extended to reach the city along the river valley. Freight rail runs along the riverside while State Highway 18 separates the western urban edge from the old streetcar suburbs.

Many of the homes here are multi-family, and in a state of disrepair. The median income here is low, and people are less educated than the regional average. Tight streets reveal cookouts, guys revving cars, stoop kids, and the breeze off the water.

Fans for the home team can enter and exit at street level, and go to the bars after the game. Visiting team's fans have to take the long walk up the hill!

The mayor's statue is a nice way to enter and exit the city, where the Riverside County Courthouse graces Veterans Park with its stately presence.
