Another tip for talking to other ST members I would recommend would be the use of messaging. You can privately message people if you have a question, request, etc. To do that, just move your cursor over the recipient's username and then on the left there will be a button to send a message. This will open up you messenger and you can talk to the person and up to 20(?) others as well.

<SNIP>

What mod are you using? I want it so badly ;o

There aren't any particular mods for that image. It is a collection of MMPs and lots that make up that scene. I know for certain that the big excavators comes from a Japanese site and the MMP's are likely from the

Thanks guys! Man, Japanese people can make some awesome and realism mods.

I've been working on this for the past few days..

Hey airman, what software do you use for your modeling? I've been trying to find a simple (enough) program to use to start making automata (steam engines specifically), but I've so far been baffled by my current options (mainly blender).

I use a program called MilkShape 3D. It's a low-poly program designed for games such as Half Life, Unreal Tournament, and the Sims. But it is compatible with other 3d programs like autocad, gmax, blender, wavefront. It's an easy program once you learn how it works. A code is required to use it, though. If you are just starting out, it's a great little program to learn with and for a short time I carried it on my flash drive.

I'm trying to make a grand Beaux Arts style city center with 1960s type planning for massive plaza space but with huge buildings. I thought of DC and Paris and using real city centers from Google Maps as a reference.

Krenemo - I really like your street layout and how you use the canals. I also think you just convinced me to use that mall.  I've always seen it around but never interested me but now, I'll add it to the game.

Looking good! I love how you use the Memorial and MLC Tower!  So awesome...keep going!

I've come pretty far with Lorient, the city I showed a couple days ago and is on the page before this one. It's gotten some new buildings downtown, but most notably, It now has suburbs. I also started a CJ on Serkis county, feel free to check it out!  :)

I thought I'd take a picture during the Independance day celebrations. Who doesn't love fireworks, huh?  :lol:

Here's what I have been working on.

LasSontas-FierrosBay1_zps7a9bad48.png

So far I've just been testing different terrain and water mods to see which ones I am going to use. I just picked the region out yesterday, too. You can download it if you like it.

I've decided to winterize my test range and this is a teaser screenshot of the natural surroundings. I added the Ski Free snow monster as a joke for another thread.
