Dresden GLR - Tram Network II !

Dresden extensive tram network faces some challeges to recreate. Later edition may have alterations for now keep it as I used to NAM 32 !

Dresden Alt Stadt got a little straight forward regtengular network with the Wilsdruffer and St Petersburgstrasse as boulevard and Postplatz and Sophien strasse into the heart of the Alt Stadt !

bbJcg24.jpg

Dresden Neustadt got more grand diagonal shaped setup with special wide road spread out of the Albert Platz in the center !

Still a lot searching for but the shape of the network is growing !

Enjoy !

@Simmer2 If this is still in the making, I guess I can suggest a few modifications. Based on my own opinion, so take it or leave it, I can't decide for you

Considering that it's an important train station, I would have placed more than one frontdoor. Such a big station will have crowds going through it every time a train stops and will need large openings to handle it. Also, on a more aesthetic aspect, maybe the bays "stick out" too much from the walls and it feels a little bit weird. And for the clock, you can expand it vertically by (about) 133% so it will seem more round rendered. I think that I already had to deal with this "crushed" circles syndrom, and that weirdly, expanding them by something like 115% or 120% looked better, but honestly I can't remember.

I guess it's something abandonned then ? Nice idea anyway :thumb:

I think it's finished. We don't have enough rundown/abandoned buildings. And this model could be reusable in so many different ways with nice lotting.

If you won't release it, would you send it over to me? I mean after you rendered into sc4model format of course. I have ideas.

Almost finished with the street layout of Raccoon City.

I cannot wait to see what the final results will be.

@Silur those recolors are looking great! The model is actually by Coyote56 as I nabbed it from the Sketchup warehouse here:

For anyone who wants to work with their own versions of these models, I've listed all the sources already in the description for the prop pack.
