Ok I went on and tested my new computer with SC4. Now, what an odd way of testing, eh? Anyway, I am quite pleased that I no longer have 98% of all the lags and the game runs fast even though the radical mod for automata is installed.

Now I love seeing REAL traffic in my city.

Been trying to retrofit an urban highway/airport expressway interchange into a pretty developed south side of my city Redmund, which now has boomed to a population of over 800,000 people. And yes, I am also simultaneously working on an airport.

Another side project in the works.

Remember the Challenger? Well let's just say the 2010 model won't be the only king of the streets...

Nice new car automata. This should look good in my cities. Any chances for a van or trucks? :)

Possibly, but so far the focus will be American Muscle Cars. I plan to make the Camaro and Mustang once these are finished. I know of a few vans/trucks already on the Exchange that were made by masterminds such as Ceafus and Simfanatik.

They both look nice!

I will say that I like the 70's one way more, but that's because I really have no taste for the new models/revivals of the classic muscle cars...

And on the topic of vans and trucks, I guess it'd be nice if you modeled up some of those since basically all of Simfanatik's stuff requires Hardware rendering (which some people can't really play the game on... including me (I only use it for pictures)) save stuff like his rental truck set (which oddly doesn't include a U-Haul truck...).

I guess what I'm saying is, I hope you can fit in some stuff like that in between the QM2 and muscle car projects! :thumb:

Much Appreciated! I prefer classic designs, too. The 1970 Challenger looks more menacing than the 2010 model. Along with the Challengers, i hope to make a set of Camaros and Mustangs as well.

I use mostly hardware renderings as well, but its to preserve as much detail as possible. It is possible to crack into a texture file and resize it so it is compatible with Software settings. If I were to release the muscle cars, i'll try to include both SD and HD files.

I'll try, but i've got some huge projects going on as well as three more big ones planned afterwards. I've been considering for the longest time to create a set of SCAG-style Boeing 707's similar to RustyXL's 727 props. But that one will have to wait until I can finish more projects.

Also here is an older pic but it does make showing a little new feature that, won't be included in the next NAM (33), easier to spot.

Aww, I could really use that RHW-6 diagonal exit feature in a tile I'm working on. :( I think you will be happy to know that the diagonal ramp is in NAM 32 under FARHW Ramps and I was actually teasing something else...

I believe you can already build smooth curves and S-curves with the diagonal street puzzle pieces. But unless I'm imagining things, I believe there is an AVE-6 (or Road-6, sorry, I don't use NWM frequently) 7.5 m overpass.

From a few private discussions; this is still prototypical.

    [snip]

    1. This is all made in Inkscape.

    2. This is not RHW.

I like the darker asphalt because it really fits in w/ the RHW Ontario textures, but the dashed lines are too far apart, IMO. Since you're going at a slower speed on an arterial road as opposed to a highway/freeway, it seems fine to have the lines closer together.

Oh, and could you please swap the placement of those two turn arrows? The way it currently is with TLA networks in the NWM is backwards from how it is IRL, (hence, really annoying, tbh) and if you could fix this, that would be great!

It actually isn't OK to have the lines spaced closer together because MUTCD requirements state for a minimum spacing of lines to dashes of 10 feet and 30 feet. SC4 tiles are 52 feet, so I'd have to scale it up accordingly; 26 feet is just far too small to meet MUTCD requirements.

Plus, it's no darker than the current textures.

Oh okay, I guess things just look different when you look at them from above. And as for the darkness, maybe it's just that the lines stand out more, something that I really like.

There will be two more joining these four- a set of Mustangs! One will be a 1964 and the other will be 5th generation Mustang (the 2005-2014 model year). I even have a cover heading set up-
