Thanks, I'll give it a try tomorrow! Also, here's some more futuristic stuff, some sort of inflatable, organic alien structure:

    8afcd2507616172ad7e40dcf6b4998732adfde83

    8afcd250765dc4534eaa32cd92e8903819eb42f1

Basically just an experiment with using molecule/tertiary protein structure creation programs. In fact, I believe I made this from part of glucose structure. They an make some pretty neat organic shapes.  (Sorry, but I had to, it was "punny").

Beautiful home :thumb: . I like it, but y brick textures need some correction, and seems odd and too big.

But your roof will be perfect, what's your technic to realise it ? ( bump map or displacement )

I can't wait to see an upload of your work

Bipin, I saw on one of your pics some beautifully crafted guard rails, and I was wondering if you intended to release them as props... those would fit perfectly. for a T21 based urban enhancement mod

    What do you think?

I think I will do a T21 mod. In fact, I was looking at how to do so just yesterday.

Nice! T21s are very labour-intensive but you can make great things with them. With your taste for urban art, I'm sure you gonna nail it.

Some more house stuff, mostly fooling around with colours:

    8afcd25076c2583f717af5787b537d0acdf3ded9

This is more so just a testbed for ideas.

    8afcd2507692330a99d9e7342fa8432570ab7665

    Here's the original one:

    8afcd250763179fc8724f8e0c627fe906bd06917

Definitely going HD with this one:

    8afcd25076ea1b358aa84b6e94c0671febda80b0

I had always vowed to do nightlighting for my suburban houses:

    8afcd25076fab4335b1bc8eb4c4787587af0aaab

One one hand, you get a nice brick bump texture all over for the day. On the other hand, you get some beautiful nightlighting for DarkNite house. (Psst... Cool fact: The images get increasingly bigger towards the bottom, like a pyramid. Funny and unintentional).

I hope you enjoyed this comprehensive group of pictures displaying my latest model. I've done a lot of the work, having modeled the whole thing, so now it's time for you to do some work! :P Let me know whether you'd prefer to see this exported as HD or SD, or at least, if I should focus on HD or simply SD details. Personally, I'd rather HD, but that's largely your decision, so let me hear what you've got to say!

The HD version is amazing.  The details are just spot on.  HD all the way for me.

Looking very nice indeed. My preference is SD, but whichever way you go, I would add a slight gradient to the roof tiles.

If you are manipulating the image in photoshop or a similar program, some lighter and darker areas/smudges across the tiles will add interest. Also, I would probably add a window or two (even if it is small like a bathroom window) down those side walls...your sims will thankyou by not having to turn the light on during the day

I'm with Matt, SD and add a gradient to the roof and a bit of weathering.

As its a small BAT could you render SD and HD same as we offer Darknite and Maxis Nite :)

I'm just about the only BATer (if I can still call myself that lol) who will vote for HD in situations like this... but I have found that a majority of players actually appreciate the extra detail at z6. From my observations, BATers like consistency, players like something cool to look at.

Additionally, if you opt for just a regular definition render, a lot of the detailing that really bring the building to life just won't show up.

So yeah, if you prefer HD, I say you should do it.

Thank you everyone for your replies, it is greatly appreciated! Based also on what I've receivied on other forums besides SImtropolis, I have decided to do HD as a primary render, and SD as a later possibility. In regards to BATing consitentcy as Cockatoo brought up, I suppose I'm filling the void of what both parties; BATers and users want. As far as my consitetncy goes, I've always done houses in HD, and that seems like it is what most people want. Besides, in certain situations HD is better than SD at zoom 5. Look at the details in the HD zoom five night shot, you can see the texture in the rocks and bricks much better.

Once again, thanks everyone for your replies. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

It's probably one of the stuff produced at nanotech INC. Seems sort of a carbon-plastic compound.

Thanks for the comments both of you! Konstantin, how perceptive of you! I've always taken interest in organic polymers; those which contain carbon, which are most plastics out there. The sheer variation in them has always astounded me (hell, I take biochem for the fun of it). :P Here's an update on those houses:

    8afcd250766149a983c1a248a92252c74d72b59f

The question is, what types of windows/gables should I place in this attic area? I'm wondering if I should go with either smoothly curved gables or typical triangular ones like in the rest of the house.

    8afcd25076fbe439f3d060bfc09057fd9cb1acbd

I'm also needing opinions on cedar shakes or vinyl siding for the exposed wall area, and if any windows should go there. Hope you all can help me out with this one!

Thanks for the comments, triangular gables it is! Also, just a heads up, my next project after these houses will be a T21 mod making elevated RHW look like this minus the water:

    8afcd250766f1a64e145464e98ad37d16b8c7cce

I feel as though before I release all my interchange models en masse, this will make all other overpasses and whatnot be of a more cohesive design that the aforementioned interchange models will better blend with. The only problem is, I'll need a partner in crime to get me started with or said in modding something this daunting; it'd essentially be an extension of Blue Lightning's ERHW mod.
