Yep good idea for an beautiful result :O . Have you never think to recreate Coruscant in Star Wars ? It will be very cool to plop several starships like "Star Destroyer" around our cities :D;)

Coruscant buildings were created by Linkartist and by 2ch.net_simplayer at his site Sim-Board.

Actually 2ch.net created them here on Simtropolis, I remember because I rendered the buildings for him. This was way back in the day, 2005 or so. They dont live up to today's standards though, so some new Coruscant type of buildings would be welcome.

Well, this isnt meant in any disrespect to the models. What I mean is mainly

about the texturing and nightwindows. Nowadays we can use Max instead of

gmax and that allows us to create richer quality in those areas and

also certain BAT techniques have been developed or become standard.

You are giving me serious chills. I would love more futuristic buildings in SC4. I'd love to use some nice ones in my SC4 LP. Personally, I really love the darker textures. I like that dystopian-esque, dark futuristic look. You do really good work Bipin.

Cool fact: I handed this in for a sculpture project and received a 95%. :P Also, if you've got ideas on the lotting, let me know. Either way, enjoy!

 

 

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I really appreciate it! However, I personally don't think I've done the best I can in regards to this model. So with that, I bring you...

While the other model was nice and all, I feel as though this one would be better suited for areas with skyscrapers or other vibrantly illuminated structures, as they reflections really entail that cacophony of city lights. Since the previous model has already been exported I will, of course, include it as an additional download.

 

 

Will you upload the buildings or you just made them for your personal use?

    In case you couldn't guess already, this is a train station. Originally this "futurism project" was for buildings that can fit both in both current and in modern futuristic scenes. This station is essentially going back to those roots. Also, it is sunken 7.5m into the ground for grade separation.

    This fills a new gap in NAM31, the lack of sunken stations for the 7.5m depth.

    Only recommendation, please make the platform longer. Perhaps a 6 or 8 tile width will fit better for rail. When this is finished, it will definitely be on the download list.

    I needed to make the platform longer for use in a personal project of mine (with the current setup, it fits nicely inside those Michigan Lefts you've seen around here lately). However, I am planning to add additional 16m long platforms separated by gates. there will be a barrier between them like there already is, except it will have turnstiles for crowd control.

    Even better, make the platforms modular!

     

    We have so many great railway stations on the STEX, but what we don't have is a simple modular set of platforms (with/without shelters) that can be used to extend existing stations or make all new ones.

    Just a heads up, I'll be doing two buildings to compliment the futuristic one I posted a while ago, then I'll release that stuff. After that, I'll add a few more props to the highway/guardrail set, then release the train station a short time after. At the moment, that's the schedule.

    Well, you won't have to wait much longer:

    Essentially, all you have to do is place road at the top of the overpass and connect it to the platform with dirt trail Pedmalls. I designed the building around the notion that it would fit above the Pedmalls nicely, so the dirt area would be below the covered area, just like in real life, as greenery can't grow in such shade.
