I don't think there I'd such a thing as a horrible building when it comes to Sim City 4! All cities in real life have their share of abominations, and so should all cities in the game! only a bad BAT can make an ugly building bad for the game, and from what I can see this is certainly not going to be a bad BAT.

I would like to see more brutalist buildings in the game!

absolutely horrible! love it! Very nice first render! A kind of mix of Le Corbusier and Soviet style, where is it located?

Looking good, I have a soft psot for Brtualism too. The Waterside in NYC is one of my faves

Anyway, back to the BAT, as per usual the modelling is great. Keep up the good work, looking forward to some textures.

    Just to comment everyone:

@ BIWDC: Thanks, I also don't think the building is ugly. The building actually never got finished because funding stopped. However they painted it and installed windows for Poetin's visit in 2005. I think it looks a lot more ugly now and I don't intend to make the building look like it is in real life at the moment, but rather how I envision it would have looked finished years ago ;)

    @ Delecto: Thank you

    @ Psander5: I agree

    @ Girafe: thanks

@ Bastet69008 & Silur: It is located in Kaliningrad ;)

@ Jasoncw & Gutterclub: Thank you

@ TekindusT: Thanks, I'm glad for the support and I encourage other batters as well to look into these kind of bats. I think brutalism is kinda underrated at times.

@ Vlasky: You didn't have to remind me, I always examine all buildings I recreate very thoroughly. I had to catch a train yesterday and I wanted to post an update first so I did not yet get to doing those bridges ;). Interesting buildings you have in your hood by the way :P.

    @ Aaron Graham: Thanks!

@ Cockatoo: Well, with some imagination, the building looks like a Russian Viagra spam bot

Edit: here's another small update on the base:

It looks awesome. I like brutalist style too, although it's not my favorite.

    Soviet buildings are cool 8)

Interesting info & That's a good way to do buildings, how you envision it being finished. That also allows you to make changes that fit better in sc4 & to add your own ideas to it aswell.

I just cracked up in laughter when I saw the first RL shot of that building!

The things them Russians came up with... But it looks good - you're recreation, I mean. Can't say the same for the real thing! xD

Also I was curious what lighting rig are you using?

@ _marsh_: thanks, I so too

@ harishna: me to, I plan on maybe doing some more in the future

@ nihonkaranws: I use the one that comes with BAT4MAX 5

@ wallacet: I'd like some help, it would be great if you could get max working!

@ Delecto: I didn't know it before but I have seen the building on the cover before. It's expensive though €40,- :boggle:

@ De Ja Vu & DragonAnime: thanks

@ testuser1234: I don't know for sure, there isn't much info on the building but according to emporis.com its main use was meant to be governmental office. Its name also implies it's a city hall or something like that ;)

    @ BIWDC: yup

a new update: the northern part of the base. It's an elevated podium which marks the entrance. The building is located on a slope so on the south side there's a complete extra floor above ground.
