hello everybody, i introduce here my latest town project. It's in typical eastern/norh-east europe style and i try to make it as real as i can. In first jornual i give review about residencial zones

one of low rise housing zones

hi wealth low-rise residencial zone with private school and eaven mayor lives here

main street, have planned with extra space for future expansion

like every that kind of town, we have some hi-tech factories, education is on quite good level

mid-heigt housing near main street, probably built on early 20th century

lower part of mass housing project from 60's to 80's

main transportation line in this zone with railway for passenger trains only

looking from far away on the sky over mass housing distric

some old photo from building period

the biggest railway station in the town with surrounding big houses

local radiostastion and one of schools

hirise - probably built on 90s

some nice modern blocks

Due to high gas prices and a little bit hard times with economic theres increased demand for public transport.

So Tesla municipality started project to improve passenger train transport flexability and quality.

* two old railway staitions close (one is closed, second one not yet)

* build 6 new small railway stations (five of them are allready opened)

* start joint project with local railway company to get new lighter and more economical trains 

As we can see, heres small presentation promotion too

Also theres a project to renovate town only hotel, It was built in somewhere 1970s and don't have any bigger renovations so far. It's not yet sure if they will build whole new building or renovate the old one. Inside it's pretty bad Condition but it has quite high sentimental value for many people.

but now i try to give some update

 So, like we seen, there was a public transport upgradeing project "new wave 2011", basically it's ready now, too early to say is it sucsessful or not but construction work's are finally done. The last new trainstop was set couple weeks ago.

 also there is overpass what gives shortcut to merge two different districts for pedastrians

 first new regular train lines somewhere suburbs

  And thats not only interesting change with mass transit, here is second event too, new bus operator in town. They are not very friendly and first operating week they made crash between those 2 companies. There's rumors that it wasn't accident.

And town park is now reconstructed and looks like a park not like a jungle anymore

i like that this kind of introduction, but i think you can choose another train (because i think the color is awful!!!!!)

thanks, haydon1996, i think about but it's hard to find suitable trains, most of them are too fancy or wrong style for me.

little teaser, 80s coming back?! naah.. never, but it's still somehow impressive so massive housing. early summer morning in somewhere...

Biggest microrayons in Tesla county, built in 60s-90s, about 200k inhabits, no big manufacturing industry or commerce areas here.

Population continually decreases, most of the people are 40 or more years old and living here since thouse houses was built, time

flies by but nothing changes, maybe it's somehow beautiful if you know how to see it

20 july @ 05:23AM early mornging, one of the main entrance to region

same day @ midday, those concrete suburbs are quite quiet and empty at those times, most of people working somwhere far away or just

using theirfree time somewhere more interesting places

and sometimes they are not so quiet, especially when good old fashioned organized crime deals some own business

The Eastern development is defined by a courtyard typology, where sets of three and sometimes four buildings are grouped to define an interior courtyard

My good old PC is back in action ^^

So, I don't have very big updates yet but i introduce one story from town =)

main character is Carl, he's 26 year's old and lived here last 20 years, almost whole life.

He's working one of hi-tech factories.. no no, he don't know anything about physics or chemistry, he's human resources manager

@ 7:58 AM, two minutes to actual workday start, he takes coffee and breakfast from some asian-fast-food restaurant

@ 8:11AM, 11 minutes late to work and damn... those fuel prices are insane, bmw 550i is'nt the world most economical car, i take 15 litre, it's

a end of a month, wheres my ******* creditcard

@ 19:47 PM management meeting is still on.. i should recommend fired my ex-girlfriend and then go away.. too tired anyway to say something smart

@ 20: 44 PM i'll take some beers and go to visit my friend, there's football on TV today

@ 20:55 PM, best parkingjob ever, time to watch TV with my friend

@ 23:59 PM home my sweet home, here i come... 150km/h

spacerace and trafficjams - blockzone special

first that traffic part

one nice mornging, commuters discovered that their good old avenue was gone and they must be sit in traffic jam an hours

on some lousy detour road

but now it's finally over, whole new 6 lane road is ready to serve locals, now they can sit in traffic jam together three-line =)

atleast it looks cool at night, isn't?

and now that other part

Today is the memorable day, on the 12th of april, 50 years ago the first man (Yuri Gagarin) flew to the space. It's not national

holiday here anymore but still there are a lots of people who remember and celebrate it

Nice work with this journal, I love the European theme to it and I like your rail networks!! Maybe some more trees in the area would make the city a little bit more greener and less plain looking, however I really like the direction this journal is headed and I will most certainly keep an eye out for the next update!

If we left from town to north with car we first passed one of those places

petrol station and some cafeterias, mostly used by truckdrivers, surprisingly they are not stopping there at the moment

you can leave the town by the passengertrain too

first stations are all quite the same, some small commuter and summerhouse villages

some of them are little bit bigger

but in fact they are not towns, despite that you can live there on 9th floor and have quite picturesque view to

apple plantation or something like that, too bad theres nothing much to do those times anymore

Like I last time (khm-khm.. it was really long time ago) showed, if left from southern side to the north by the road or by the train and passed many-many same looking villages and little towns, we reach after travelling couplehundreds kilometers to seaside, there are some towns too, i firstly introduce one of them, comming soon with ports and beaches! =)
