Hello Aaron Graham...

trust all is well in your neighborhood...

read a post that you did not see any any trixie nominations... take heart, I picked one you... but I had to decide how to place you as I could only nominate you once... so I hope you like what I nominated you for... so take heart... :):bunny::ducky:

hopefully you will pick up the projects again, but if things get to be too much I hope you will finish WIP and place on the stex before moving on...

    2639 & 2641 Jerome Avenue

Here's a new building I'm working one, I hope I can get it close to the texturing like the next building, so I can texture them around the same time. The wing on the left is 2639 Jerome Avenue, and the wing on the left is 2641 Jerome Avenue, both of these wings are actually serarate buildings. :D

    Possible Apartment Plans

Here's a number of apartments, That would be lovely to bat for Sim City 4, I have been thinkin it over and over, I have been looking at these buildings for months and for some a few years now. The problem for me will be speed and the render speed, that's something that will beat me down.

    One Sherman Square Apartments

One Sherman Square Apartments was completed in 1972 at 42 stories replacing two old and beautiful buildings, one of them is known as Sherman Square Hotel, the one on the left picture below the One Sherman Square Apartments render.

    Tower 67 Apartments

One Sherman Square Apartments was completed in 1986 at 49 stories.

Wow! it looks nice! Listen Aaron... I know you got work and stuff... and I really know that you are the Batter to ask when it comes to residential in NYC. My question is, will you be willing to BAT something a little different, yet residential, harder, yet not that much harder than some of the towers you did? Im talking about the 25 Central Park W. or something similar in shape, 115 Central Park W. or..or OR, the 145-149 Central Park W.

Any of those, specially the last one, will do, since it is basically no building alike in the STEX, and its a must in Central Park skyline. Of course, Im just giving out an idea, its up to the mood of the Batter =)

Aaron I think those are all great choices! They would all add a great deal to the Lincoln Center area, but of the three you should probably start with one of the two that you already modeled the basic shape for.

As far as render times go, how long would you expect the renders to take? You can always surround part of the building with a box if you want a quick render to see how a small part works. Even if you did full renders I wouldn't expect them to take too long unless you're working on a single core laptop or something similar. CitySpire renders general take around 9-10 minutes but are much faster if I block part of the building off.

I keep thinking the render would be hours long, I do not know why. Maybe it time to face my render time fear and make something of Central Park West.

I say go for it... It's a fresh project... It is the perfect job for you, and it would make a great comeback! Specially if you model the 145-149 Central Park W.

First off, good picks. I think they are not a big challenge for you and you could do them quite fast.

But as your friend, I have to say something. You have to BATs that need texturing and nightlights. They're nearly finished. Deal with them first, than go into new projects. Don't give advantage to something new because it looks exciting. I had to make a hard decision not to start anything new until I finish my old stuff first and release them. I don't want to be the kind of person that never follows trough but rather leaves everything nearly finished.

That is my decision and I am telling you this as  a friend. Because I don't want you to be like me with 18 unfinished BATs that only take a few more hours of effort to complete :) Even future me doesn't want to be like the past me :P

Ah yes, the last 10 percent to completion are always so much more difficult than the first... *sigh*

Well.. it is true. Vlasky has a point! I mean, to be honest, you have 2 amazing buildings right now.. and I wont deny they would look awesome... but at the same time, I proposed that because of the pm that we have going on about the SECRET PROJECT NO ONE SHOULD KNOW AS OF NOW, and those towers would look awesome, assuming that THE SECRET PROJECT NO ONE SUSPECTS fits very well with them. Trust me Vlasky and guys, THE SECRET PROJECT YOU HAVE NO CLUE AT THIS POINT AND NO ONE SUSPECTS A THING, is amazing, and you will want some of these towers to go hand to hand to THE SECRET PROJECT THAT EVERYBODY IS NOW DYING TO KNOW ABOUT.
