I'm finally getting the hang of RHW...here's a unique interchange from my main city, Blackfyre.  Let me know if I missed a part of it, I think I got all traffic directions covered.

I have built some interchanges today. One is a large cloverleaf with collector lanes and frickinhuge loop ramps. I used wide-radius curves to make it look nicer, but that contributes greatly to it's size.

My other one is a fairly large turbine interchange. I'm not completely inexperienced, so it wasn't hard to come up with and successfully build one.

Great interchanges, everyone. There must be a wide variety between known interchanges and big "spaghetti bowls" created by other users.

Here's my first attempt at a complex interchange.  It' took me three days to get the kinks out.

    Ohh nice diagonal interchange McDuell!

This one's a little off topic but it's the best I've seen yet in SC13's one-way roads mod

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

That's some nice work there Ln x!

I'd recommend using the FAR pieces a bit more and avoid weaving lanes, apart from that it looks good!

The FAR completely slipped my mind, thank you for the tip.

    Thank you, Hal! :)

I'm absolutely no fan of the new SimCity, but this DDI actually looks pretty decent.

Meanwhile I continued my experiments with diagonal on-slope transitions. It was quite tedious to build, but here it is: Another full stack interchange. Have fun! :)

How did you do diagonal on-slope?

I'd really like to see a video tutorial. I've noticed the space, too, but merely from looking at this screenshot I can't figure out how to build diagonal on-slope transitions.

Unfortunately after a while of testing I was unable to find a way to do it without the space.

Well, the space looks a little odd, but being able to build diagonal on-slope transitions would surely save me some trouble.

Edit: You could also leave some verbal explanations, along with some pictures. I'd really appreciate.

Another edit wants to show off a little interchange I just made. This is where a RHW-6 Highway ends in one of my cities, and my Sims driving to this city are being told "Welcome" by the Glorieta de la Palma Roundabout (I believe from Mexico City; although I've relotted it a bit to become a Glorieta del Bétula, since I'm living in a part of the earth where palms don't grow anymore). It is impossible to connect RHW-6 to avenues, so I've come up with a simple solution. Hope you like it.

Here it is, a video tutorial explaining how I place diagonal on-slope transitions (dOST) for RHW. All credit goes to McDuell and Eggman121 for finding it first, however I do not know how they do it, so this is my version and may differ.

Actually looking closely at the lower left on-slopes of McDuell's stack interchange, you can see a little bit of the floating road too. And thanks so much for the tutorial! The process makes a lot more sense to me now. ^_^

    Nice tutorial, Durfsurn!

Meanwhile, I've put up a tutorial as well. If anyone likes pictures and text, you can find it here on sc4devotion. :)

Unforunately, the tiles with the ground RHW hanging 'in the air' cannot be avoided right now. But they can be minimized to 3 tiles: the 2 sloped ones and one directly adjacent to it.

    Mind. Blown.

    Just like this guy

Maybe I should try this diagonal bridge enabler thinghy. Seems to do more than enable diagonal bridges :P

(Whoa reply box thingy got changed....)

Well it has been a while since I last posted in here, but I have two new interchanges to showcase; they are in a old region I have been fixing up recently

The first one is a hybrid interchange; I built it like this because I wanted something more than a generic cloverleaf or turbine. Hwy 2(The Left-right) connects with Hwy 106(Going down) which leads to Downtown Bradenson. Note that Hwy 106 ends here and continues north(Up) to the int'l airport as the Airport Expressway and not a highway because the airport section is not built to National Highway Standards at the moment....

    spaghetti3.jpg

Here's a cloverleaf I built when I extended a highway through a suburban community; it was a tricky job because of the city edge being on one side and the bridge crossing the shipping channel on the other, but I somehow managed it....

And a finished one just to the east of this one...

I'm looking to expand this main 6 lane highway round 4 tiles, tucking in close to the hills/mountains.
