277,500 SF | 13 floors | New Construction | Class A Office Building | $200m | 2012

SAN FRANCISCO, CA The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s headquarters building at 525 Golden Gate Avenue was designed in joint venture by KMD Architects and Stevens Architects.

Highlights
A design twist was the “slicing off” of the upper two floors on the northwest side of the building to enable sun to shine on a neighboring school’s play yard.
An innovative earthquake-resistant structural design
Innovative cooling supplies air circulation at floor level versus through ceiling panels, enabling more efficient cooling of interior spaces
Installation of permanent sun-shades on the angled upper floors of the south side that can raise and lower based on angle of the sun
Photovoltaic panels
Installation of “Living Machine” to treat wastewater onsite for reuse throughout the facility
Stormwater collection for landscape irrigation
On-demand water heaters cut use to 5 gallons per occupant per day

Big-i

We propose one of the most famous landmarks in Fukushima Prefecture.
It is a skyscraper in Koriyama City, located in the center of the prefecture.

This building was constructed in 2001 in front of JR Koriyama Station.
With a height of 133 meters, it is the tallest building in Fukushima Prefecture.
The 24-story building houses a high school, administrative center, shopping mall, and offices.
On the highest floor, there is a planetarium, which has been certified by Guinness World Records as the world's tallest.

Something that benefits the community.

This is necessary for the "FUKUSHIMA AGAIN" plan I am working on.
It will also provide the community with a variety of high-rise buildings.

Therme

Erding.png.4c55f8618064c455ed4d195177dd1b79.png

Hello there !

What is the bigger lack in SC4 ? I think it's baths stuff. There are some swimming plugins, but not any about Bath/Therme.

So, in Germany, there are many big bathing centers (therme). The biggest one is near Munich (Erding). But many kind existing : suburban /urban, contemporary /classical architecture.

Looks for example :

Erding therme

https://www.therme-erding.de/en/info/online-reservation/

Vienna Therme (Oberlaa) for a contemporary + urban friendly

https://www.google.com/maps/search/therme+oberlaa/@48.143672,16.4018014,330m/data=!3m1!1e3

Friedrischsbad in Baden-Baden for a classical style + urban friendly

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrichsbad

Or many others in Budapest

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spas_in_Budapest

Etc.

Would be so great if they can become available in SC !

Thanks for your attention.

PS : sorry if a commited mistake, I'm not fine in english.

Greek Revival

Currently working on a true-to-life replica of Philadelphia and would love a diagonal version of this iconic museum to plop on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Cira Centre

29 floors / 437 feet

2005

Postmodern

A relatively newer addition to the Philly skyline, and the first significant high-rise west of Center City and the Schuylkill River. Designed by Cesar Pelli, the same architect who designed the Petronas Towers (Kuala Lumpur), One Canada Square (London), and the Salesforce Tower (San Francisco).

Connecticut Science Center, Hartford, CT

201310_PRINTEDITION_310189972_AR_0_0.jpg

ScienceCenter450.jpg

Description:

A uniquely designed museum, located overlooking the banks of the Connecticut River in Hartford, CT, this is the flagship science museum of the region. Featuring mostly glass exterior and its signature angled windows and curved roof (both major features of the museums' logo) designed to mimic the river it overlooks, it is also one of only a few buildings world-wide to have all or most of its power generated by an in-house fuel cell. Located on the south side of downtown Hartford and abutting Constitution Plaza, it, along with the CT Convention Center and Front Street area were the cornerstone projects of the redevelopment of the city, particularly as part of the Adrianes Landing project at the turn of the millennium.

I am hoping that this could be turned into a great museum to be added to our cities, more info as to why in the later section

Why this would be beneficial for the game or community:

I have noticed that there are not many museums that are of a "modern" or "unique" design, especially ones that fit on the original museum footprint of 2X3. While I think this could be a great addition at this size, I also think that it would be cool to be expanded and have plaza tiles around it as well making it a larger lot. I think that the unique design of this building, from its mostly glass exterior, to its uncommon shaped exteriors and roof would make it stand out as a showcase lot of a city's museum or entertainment district.
