    Calling Tech Support!

All of my various and sundry LBT lots [this seems only to impact LBT lots]  seem to be missing a texture all of the sudden (see below)

    missinglbtj_zpscc063446.jpg

Anyone know what the missing texture might be and where I might get it back? Or whatever else might be wrong with these?

    Thanks :D

89James89    Thanks! Glad you like it.

SimCoug    Hehehe! I wonder who that was. [wink, wink… nudge, nudge]

    Hester    Woo hoo! Thanks!

emperordaniel    Thanks! Glad you like it.

89James89    Thanks! We have another ~20 cities I didn’t include because they lack distinctive landmarks. But it is a very extensive country!

NMUSpidey    There are, but you have to be fluent in Feline to sing it.

emperordaniel    They have quite sophisticated surveillance indeed.

    Terring        Hehehe! Thanks.

89James89    The secret life of deer was kind of interesting though…

Lyhoko Leaci    Thanks. And more is always on the way…

    airman15    Probably!

Benedict    Thanks for the postcard! :D

Ultimate727    Thanks. Glad to have you back.

NMUSpidey    We’re almost venerable over here now!

    East Tenne: Paper Pushers

Government offices are located throughout the capital. Many of the most significant ones are located in the Royal Quarter and the Feline Quarter. But, all of those government offices and institutions which don’t require the Supreme Wirdle’s daily oversight need somewhere to be as well. Many of them and concentrated in the fourth and fifth arrondissements. District IV is known as The Citadel, as it contains a large building which sits upon a hill just like a citadel in the times of yore. A large cluster of government facilities centers around Clark Square. This cluster is devoted to education and culture. There are other clusters scattered through the Government Districts. Executive and legislative offices are in the Royal Quarter, proximate to Wirtyplace.

    finearts2_zps789c7502.jpg
The Fine Arts Council sponsors artists of all types and administers museums and cultural facilities across the nation. Performing arts and musicians of all sorts are subsidized by the FAC. Feline opera is always a popular selection with the general public.

    finearts4_zpsd5754aa7.jpg
A lovely plaza behind the FAC building hosts sculptural exhibits and outdoor theater. But, NO MIMES!

    finearts9_zpsf0aa9ff9.jpg
That’s right: there’s no time for the mime. My rhyme is prime and being a mime is not a crime. But, NO MIMES!

    archives2_zps60f583d5.jpg
The National Archives hosts many important documents and artifacts. Want to see the Supreme Wirdle’s first scratching post? It’s there. The charter of the Feline Interplanetary Friendship Association? Got it. Financial records dating back to the dawn of recorded time? Yup.

The Education and Literature Commission Office hosts the bureaucrats in charge of education and print materials. Now, you might be concerned about the state of feline education due to the English spelling of lolcat speak. But, fear not. Felines spell well in their native languages. But, translation into English often leaves room for error. The world would be a better place if we all spoke Meow.

    educ2_zps1ef51c5e.jpg
Outgoing Education Commissioners Chalmers and Skinner have left a strong staff in place here. Incoming Commissioners Clark and Stickley will be well prepared for continuing our ambitious Nine Lives Education Program.

If you want to catch a government official for an informal chat, head over to Grove Center, a trendy marketplace filled with shops and cafes. You could have an interesting conversation over a cup of catmint tea.

Grove Center backs up to Grove Park, a triangular green space next to the National Parks Office

If you are curious about what else can be found in The Citadel, there’s plenty of commerce and residential areas. Many cultural amenities and interesting destinations can be found as well. Let’s take a stroll…

That looks amazing Schulmanator. Really gives off a strong European vibe with lots of fine architecture and public spaces.

Venerable reminds me of another word I like: veritable.  You remember playing SimCity 2000 and if you planted enough trees it would turn into a "veritable jungle?"

Back on topic, I'll tell you again how much your cities rock.

    Or paper airplanes...

Looks good, can't wait for more!

Couldn't they hire someone to fix the English translations? Or would that just make more of a mess?

Yeah, but a Box o' Pigeons is very, very bad for my car...  As in, pigeons always poop on  it.

Reminds me of a time I was in Santa Cruz and my car got dive-bombed by seagulls and pelicans  >.<

In case you were wondering, the compilation for the 2nd quarter posting awards will begin when this page is finished. So, not much longer!

Oh, and this is Reply Set #902. That’s a LOT of replies!

    89James89    Insert groan here! :D

89James89    Thanks! That’s generally what I was going for. But I am not beholden to replicating Europe exactly. More of using it for an inspiration and letting the cats decide the rest…

Gn_leugim    LOL! True. But of course there’s over 120 feline vendors awaiting you at the mall!

NMUSpidey    Hehehe! I loved SC2K. It had a seriously earworm soundtrack…

Aaron Graham    Thanks! Glad you like it.

airman15    And then pouncing on the origami once it’s made…

Lyhoko Leaci    well, they don’t care so much about the English translations. Feline is such an advanced language that converting it to a humanoid one is sure to strip out meaningful nuances.

vivapanda    Thanks. And there’s still more to come!

SimCoug    The salary and benefits of working to TSW are both very good. Curtain makers and scratching post designers are very much in demand in Schulmania!

89James89    Thanks! And the box is very popular with cats and unhappy LOTs!

Ultimate727    Sold! You get 2, since it’s buy one get on free!

Hester    Box o’ Tuna would make any cat happy!

    airman15    True dat!

Lyhoko Leaci    Kind of like the colonel’s bucket o’ chicken?

NMUSpidey    I think cars have some sort of UN-visible bull’s-eye target on them which only birds can see…

    airman15    Ewwwwwwwwwwwww!

    Ultimate727    hehehe!

Gn_leugim    I am not sure those come in boxes. Though a box of fox wearing socks surely rocks! So popular that the crowd flocks for fox until depleting our stocks. Though a fox pox could make locks on our stocks of fox socks…

111222333444    Crows are in big trouble ATM. They are eating all of the suet in the bird feeder which serves as the royal entertainment center for felines and their familiars who look out of windows. They’d better be good our out comes to cookbook…
