I like it, but that's a dangerously low bridge. Should the tide rise, or rough storms cause waves, that bridge would certainly be flooded. Not to mention hardly a canoe could fit under it, and I'd bet a river that wide should accommodate quite a bit of boating traffic. Here's my take on a possible fix.

<snip>

Interesting analysis, and I'm pretty thankful for your tips, but the city hall is kind of the important thing in this picture. I'd rather just demolish the bridge in that case. Also, you can't see it, but that's a lake. Not an ocean. Storm waves probably wouldn't become high enough to flood the bridge. I do understand what you mean by the canoe business, though. That kind of annouyed me, too.

I'll get it fixed. I'll probably end up simply removing the brige and placing it somewhere else instead. We'll see. :)

Why not 1000 Lakeside Avenue or the National Gallery of Victoria? These aren't government buildings in real life but they will suit the role here

Thanks, but no. None of those look anything like what I want.

Downtown Rourke, Capital of Maricopa. Of course it's not finsihed What I need most is a large government-y building for the lot by the split avenue.

Whoops, nice one in here Borg. Green downtowns are hard to find these days.

Just one question: What is that stadium at the upper left?

It took a while searching for it but the "hitachi" building is none other than Cockatoo's HK Harbour Centre Great Eagle Centre which can be found here-

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

These pictures are from Cambria, a city that I intend on turning into a full length City Journal, however, there are buildings that are not currently in Sim City 4 that I wish to use in it.  Needless to say, I need BATing skills before this goes anywhere, or by some miracle, all the buildings I want get turned into BATs.  Anyway, here are some pictures.

Apologies for the odd night shot, try to think of it as some buildings being lit by powerful uplights for no reason whatsoever.  :)

You definitely have mixed Maxis and Dark Night buildings but then again some cool buildings don't have DN version, so that should be understandable. ;)

City of Navy. 60+ k population within tile. Will make neighbouring satelite cities when i figure out why my change of terrain mod makes other empty tiles have mountain-range-like height as a standard.

Navy has seen some recent development with two office towers being built within the last five years, as an indirect result of the construction of a new hospital and police station to the east of downtown.

The city has managed to cut the crime rate in half and improve the health of the population, this has opened for investor and imployer interest. The backbone of the economy is however still manufacturing industry.

( I am still horrible at implementing public transportation, even though i know i have more enjoyment when my cities have it, as it feels more realistic. Navy has three train stations; Downtown and two in the suburbs...)

(Will try and implement a bus system as well, allthough i dont find most bus stations to fit a rural setting.)

Yf7uTHj.jpg

Now that's a very nice picture Mymyjp

Who wouldn't love that park? It's awesome!

I also like your selection of buildings. They blend toether really well.

And, if you don't mind, may I ask you where you got that big white building direcly to the right of the column? The one with the L-shaped part.

It kinda looks like a hospital.

This is Fargo. Old city i spend some time remaking. Mostly the core and the docks. Despite the flashy new modern buildings in the downtown area, Fargo has actually been in a sure but steady decline for the past decade or so, because of heavy urban sprawl. A good chunk of old buildings has been demolished and replaced with ugly parking lots, however, the city administration has got the approval for 280 million $ worth of investment into the downtown authority in an attempt to rejuvenate the core.
