^No, it actually lightens them slightly.

Looking good, bixel - even if slightly radioactively bright.

I think you've nailed it!! Now only to get rid of the clouds... and I agree with ACEfanatic... it is a bit too radioactive... so, glass still needs some work, but bump-reflection... you've done it! SUPERB result!
As for rendering it for you... well I'll give it a go... Unfortunately I don't have second (rendering) computer anymore - friend mine - owner of it is back and using it himself, but my new setup is couple of 3 times more powerful then old one... That's good news. Bad news - there is never enough power. With every upgrade some new tricks eat power faster then I can through it in!

ACE: it ain't Bixel, man!!

About the radioactive stuff: the material isn't finished yet, this is just a test. Somehow the Lippo now takes several hours to render so there was no time to tweak the material. I just wanted to show off the reflection 2.gif

Several hours?? and that, as it seems with standard lighting... am I right?? Well if so that is exactly what I meant in my last post... when you start adding some nice touches like realistic lighting, reflections, glossy (or to be precise NON glossy) materials all that makes things look good render time goes through the roof. But it is soooo difficult to go back to standard setup which on new faster machines would take all but minutes instead of hours or even days... But probably there is a good reason in this reluctance - one must go forward!
I thought that it was a tester - to see the broken reflections at work. And at that you have succeeded marvelously! Would you care to post here the bump map picture?
All in all with this reflections and particle waterfall Lippo’s gonna be masterpiece and a revolutionary one!

That's pure magic! Whoa, that waterfall and water is absolutely breathtaking, and so is the distorted reflection. This is going to be a major hit!!

One suggestion nonetheless: I think the textures on the lower roof section look a tad too bright and washed out - guess they could use a bit more of that sweet 6459978 treatment, if you get my drift. Other than that, I'm already looking forward to lotting and modding this beauty! 4.gif

OMG! The reflection is probably the best I've ever seen... And the deepness of the colour looks real.

    The building really rocks!

(But I'm sure you have to do a lot later in the base... I mean the shopping centre)

yep! You've got it! I mean distortion in the reflection.. you see it isn't all that impossible, or even overly difficult.
T Wrecks.. the textures shouldn't be judged yet, as this is primarily reflection tester (am I right Paul?) And the whole thing will still look different with proper lighting. But there is no doubt what so ever - this is a masterpiece!
I do have few critical notes. I hope you don't mind... you get your portion of ecstatic replies for the rest of our excitable community ;-)
My suggestion would be (keeping it about reflections at this moment) to little bit tone down bump map - either the contrast of it or then the amount of bump. One more experiment could be to bring in a bit of variation to it - put mix map in bump slop and there mix the bump map you have currently with say middle gray through large sized noise map set to world XYZ. This could break some monotony in distortion pattern.
Anyway different lighting that would create better defined patterns of light and shadow would also add “wild card” effect to the reflections.
Another thing is water... Sorry to depart from the ecstatic choir, but in my opinion this need some work to be done to it... at the moment it looks like a pool of molten lead or Mercury but not water. But I have no doubt what so ever you’ll solve it just as brilliantly as you did the reflection..
If you still want me to render it then I could make some of the materials myself. I would most probably have to anyway to fit the renderer.
At any rate this is a major milestone for you and all of us here.

The reflections look great. I think you need to change the roof texture though, it's a little bright, and a bit samey.

Otherwise it's coming along well. I haven't been in here a while, and I'm glad to see you're giving that complex another go - I loved the models of the previous versions, but the textures never did quite sit right with me.

This is an improvement out of sight. Well done.

Oh my god. So little time left to lay a drool pipe from my computer room to the nearest river - and I'm sure I'll need one once the final pics are posted. You had better not make this one too good because the nearest river is the Rhine, and if you make me drool too much, you might get a flood in the Netherlands... this time not from the coast side! 3.gif

Did you change much between those last two views, because the most recent one is insanely good.

And the roof look right in that new one too.
