Hi there, Most of you know me from my tokyo in The CJ, Well i have taken alittle break from that,  And instead, Get into batting,  making Bat's for my CJ.

So with out further adue.

My first bat, Will be Shibuya Q front building.

It's My first ever bat, And i want it to be a good one, So im taking my time, And saving often.

qfrontbuilding.jpg

I have been working on it, Since last night, I did a test one to see it worked inside SC4, It did, But was to bright, I textured it using some pictures i came across, Now i'm adding the Silver linings seen on the outter edge of the building,

Looks really crappy in BAT, But in SC4 and LE, it was actually very sharp,

Sit's on just a 3x3 lot, Plus i'm going to add another custom building to go behind it.

Stay tuned for more updates. 9.gif

Also, anybody got some tips i can i do for the lighting, And how i can get the tv screen to change from different pictures.

Please show your buildings in a render shot. It gives an idea what it looks like in game. Look at other BAT theard, you see that they're all shown in the render.

Is the entire thing textured on a basic model? Before you even upload this, you really need to add details and quailty to your textures. Actucally, model the roof junk, windows, etc. It really brings out the model itself ingame. Try asking for help from the pros like Jason, and Andisart.

I'd say that you have to really learn how to use snaps. They will help you to avoid those odd corners sticking out here and there. Also it is strongly advisable not to have any overlapping geometry. That is not occupying exactly same plane.

On a practical note it may be easier to create complex shapes (for instace those with angles other than 90deg) with splines and then extrude them rather than trying to maneuver boxes around.

First night render shot. Thank you for the great advice simfox, I got a coupe of corners smoothed out, But i think im just going to create two front supporters the shape of the front of the building, then convert them to a editable mesh, Then extrude them.

Also, does anyone know how i can get different pictures to show on the tv screens? i have seen it done on a shibuya109 building i downloaded, But i have no clue how to it, it always changed pictures at different times.. And i really dont want just 1 picture up there, So if you can help me out, that would be great!

Ok ,I belive you. Maybe you did model everything. Well its looking decent tho!

As for the picture, I don't think that possible to do that. Just leave that picture or just make a picture with 4 pictures.

Off topic: Is that Lebron James in the picture doing a Tammahawk?

You might look at a new product called BAB (Bitmap Animation Builder) available on LEX at SC4D. I found it very simple to use and there are several examples of animations similar to what you are trying to achieve.

Check out the support thread here: https://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=8003.0

You might also want to try turning the contrast down on your night light omnis or move them farther from the building walls to cut down on the harshness.

This is a very ambitious first BAT; I congratulate you.

    Hi there Neonsim

Your building looks good so far. I don't really know anything about BATting so I'll leave the advices for others...

About the changing picture... Have you considered using a seasonal prop? I believe that's what the Shibuya 109 building is using (which I also have. I too have a weakness for japanese BATs 16.gif). It should be really easy to create using PIM-X.

    Keep up the good work!
