The most idiotic thing about this entire fiasco is that up way north at the northern edge of midtown they clipped 200 ft off to the top of pencil thin proposed Torre Verre because it was deemed too ugly to share the same height as the ESB (I think it looks great) and that was way in the back of midtown behind all the other scrapers. Now theyre going to let this thing get built basically next to the ESB For the record I'm all for both buildings being built in their proposed form its just stupid that they shortened the Torre Verre and ain't touched this one By the way about half those renders on the previous page were commissioned by the ESB's owner to intentionally make the new tower look bad, you may not like the design but those are nothing to go by.

Whichever way you feel on this mosque it can't be argued that it has totally failed in its objective of inter-faith healing and dialogue etc.

Acctually international law stipulates that you can board a ship that you fear it is smuggling. Normally that wouldn't really hold a legal basis in this situation but Israel has captured entire ships filled to the brim with RPGs and other munitions intended for Gaza or Hezbollah etc. Clearly this here little flotilla didn't have guns etc on it in my opinion, but the precedent is there. Special forces *****ed this one up pretty bad, even if they were attacked first probably better to take the beating. But on another note, how stupid do you have to be to attack special forces repelling from armed helicopters?
