Hey guys. I'm still alive, I just have no time for computer games... as you can tell it has been more than 2 years since I logged on. Doing a Ph.D. in Physics. Not sure why I logged on right now to tell you the truth... Anyways, leave my thread locked as you have done. Good call on that. I'm not planning on a return, not even sure if I will read the follow ups to this or not. Maybe. Hope all is well. And keep up the good work! -

Many Canadians fear third world war looms

Originally posted by: N_O_Body Originally posted by: patriots_1228 NOBody-what chaos? is rather calm right now quote> The whole of the United States of America is chaotic. A good example is the chicken little attitude displayed by the Senate in creating the Homeland Security outfit, thus completing the transition from a plutocratic oligarchy into a police state. If your politicians are capable of knee-jerk reactions like that, I would call that chaos. Your senate is supposed to be a chamber of sober second thought, not a bunch of self-aggrandizing petty autocrats who really think only of keeping their job. Electing justice officials is just about as chaotic. What reason would you have for such nonsense? This gives justice a bad name, in fact, in the United States she has become a prostitute to the election process. This isn't the way things should be. Those are a couple of Canadian thoughts. And you wonder if we could ever join the U.S.? Hah!quote> Wow... that's some pretty broad and harsh views there. Just so that everyone knows, not all Canadians are like this. I'm not anti-US... I'm just not a fan of some of Bush's foreign policies. And as far as my reasons for not joining the US. Consider this: Canada's population is a measly 32 million people... (To put that in perspective, the US is about 10 times bigger at 300 million) we'd be a tiny minority in the US and our opinions would not even matter and no matter how we voted (if we all voted the same way), it would not affect the outcome of any election. Joining the US would cause our voice to be lost. -
I have no idea and I don't think anyone else here does either... or they would have posted about it. Read through some of the threads about bridges and maybe you will find out for yourself something about it. Sorry that I cannot help you anymore than suggesting where to start looking.

If you read ardecila's thread, you would know this: Originally posted by: ardecila I don't have a permanent place to host it, and I'm not gonna upload it to the STEX yet - it's not ready for mass consumption. YouSendIt only works for 7 days.quote> So, please, next time try to read a bit. It will be on the STEC when it is complete... for the meantime, be patient and check the thread regularly. It is possible that ardecils will upload it again when it's worth it. -

Many Canadians fear third world war looms

Stupidest survey ever. These "researchers" probably got money from the taxpayer to waste on this garbage. Just disgusting. Originally posted by: Dragontempest AS a history major... As for Canada to become apart of the US... isn't already? its just an independent autonomous region or "state". take a look at several countries throughout the world and you will see the same thing it just with Canada its not as obvious. IE Denmark-Greenland, Russia-Siberia, Britian-Scotland. Please forgive me if I upset anyone, I truly mean disrespect if I did cause somequote> As you are a history major I suggest you get your facts straight. Canada is an independent nation. The US has NO CLAIM WHATSOEVER over Canada or it's land. Am I offended by your comments? No... but I am angry that you have your so-called "facts" that wrong. Greenland is a Danish territory that is self-administered (semi-autonomous). It is like Canada was to Britain before independence. Scotland is more like the Canada-Quebec relationship. It is physically part of Britain but with a different culture and government... and is not totally autonomous. Siberia is also physically part of Russia and is not independent. Canada is an independent nation and in no way part of the US... it NEVER has been and likely never will be (though I cannot say for sure, because I have no interest in debating this point). As far as Canada is concerned the US can do whatever it wants (I mean nothing illegal) and we can similarly do the same. US wants to invade Iraq? Go ahead... we didn't. The US doesn't have any loyalty of the Queen of England at all. We do. She is the head of state here, represented by the Governor General, who believe it or not is the most powerful government official in the country. Though in practice that is the Prime Minister. Canada has NO LOYALTY WHATSOEVER to the US nor to it's president, he is just another foreign leader, albeit of our neighbour and largest trading partner and of one of the most powerful countries in the world. Yes, we cooperate on many fronts where both countries agree that it is mutually beneficial, but we also disagree on many things (US has lax gun laws compared to most western countries, we have gay marriage, etc...) So, I have no idea what you are talking about, but before you go stating "facts" again, I suggest you do some research and find out whether they are true or not. -

N_O_Body and SimRabbit: You bot hhave the same problem. When you install the new NAM you must manually remove ALL OLD NAM files first. The new installer DOES NOT overwrite all of the old stuff due to the changes made to the core files of the NAM itself. So go back, delete ALL NAM related stuff and try again.
